Product description

"Writing is clear and concise. [The text offers] a good reading level for mid-range students and good publisher support with electronic test banks. This text gives the Early Childhood Educator an entry-level understanding of the young child and his [or her] behaviors. Basic concepts and skills are introduced, which the educator can use to create a safe and nurturing environment for the young child." "It is a practical guide to child guidance with real life examples in easy to understand text. The examples and vignettes are real and my students can relate to them. We have used this book since the first edition and have not felt the need to switch even when looking at the latest texts out there. We find this book meets our needs." "This text offers very practical information on issues according to developmental stages. The text addresses many of the questions beginning students often have about guiding young children."
