Product Description

Posers gonna pose
I am a man who had nothing, but found everything.
I’ll never go back to nothing ever again.
I vowed to protect her, and that’s exactly what I’m gonna do.
The pictures I stumbled upon haunt me still, the secret I shoulder is heavy.
They say secrets put distance between two people, but the truth is far more destructive than keeping it will ever be.
I won’t ever tell. She can’t ever know.
When I look in the mirror my reflection is of who I’m afraid I’ll become and not the man I am.
It makes me feel like a poser, no better than all the others pretending to be exactly who they aren’t.
How does a man keep it together when everything is unraveling right here in his hands?
I didn’t start any of this.
I never asked for it.
But it came knocking at my door.
When secrets and threats knock, I don’t hide.
I open the door.
Because the best way to take down a poser is to be one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Each book just gets better and more amazing than the last 23 October 2015

Oh my goodness, this series. Each book just gets better and more amazing than the last. As soon as I think Cambria has written something that nothing else will ever compare to, she goes and writes something even better. I honestly don't know how she does it. This woman is a book writing beast and a damn good one.

From the very beginning I was always extremely interested in Braeden and Ivy. I knew that their characters would end up together and I had really hoped I would get more of peek into their lives. I was ecstatic when I learned that #Selfie was from their point of views and it honestly became my favorite book in the series.

#Poser took its place though. In an instant. Seeing two characters that you really love finally finding themselves in one another is amazing and is definitely one of the best parts of a story but experiencing life with them after the initial honeymoon period ends is when their story really begins. In #Poser we learn so much about these characters. Through their struggles we get to see who they are as individuals better than we ever have. Things get hard and life gets tough and that's when someone's strengths and weaknesses are revealed.

There are definitely some moments in this book that brought tears to my eyes. The pain that Ivy goes through is unbearable but she emerges so strong and finds herself finally free from everything she's been feeling and wondering about herself. I know Rimmel started it all but I have no shame in admitting that Ivy is and has always been my favorite. She's such a strong female even when she thinks she's broken.

And poor Braeden. The secret that he had to hold on to for so long was one of the hardest things he has ever had to deal with. And he's dealt with some pretty heavy s***. But he remains strong for his girl. That says a lot about who he is as a character and how much he wants to keep her safe.

Speaking of characters, we also get a peak inside the mind of one of the not-so-well-liked characters. I know that Cambria was nervous about how her readers were going to respond to her including Zach's point of view but I'm glad that she did. It totally worked for the story and gave us a glimpse of his motivation for his actions all the way back to book one.

This book is so good. Guys, if you haven't picked up the Hashtag Series yet, please do so. You won't regret it.

I wish #Heart was already available because I would definitely jump straight into it.

Rating: 5 Stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars Least favorite 1 September 2015

#Poser was my least favorite of the #Hashtag series, and probably my least favorite of all Cambria's books I've read. Don't get me wrong, I still love Braeden, just not #Poser. I really did not like that Zach had 8 of his own chapters. In my opinion, his background story didn't need to be that long. Yeah, part of his childhood was horrible, but he was already twisted before anything bad happened to him.

#Poser wasn't bad, but it wasn't up to par with the rest of the #Hashtag series.

3.0 out of 5 stars A few choices made it not as good as the other for me. 17 November 2015

3.5 stars -- There was so much I still loved about this book, but there were a few choices that the characters made along the way that I just can't abide by, so it took me out of my enjoyment a bit.

I appreciated all the struggles that Ivy and Braeden were going through, and I especially thought that the portrayal of Ivy's confusion and symptoms of PTSD from the rape were very realistic (and horrifying and heart wrenching). I can't even imagine what it was like to have your body remembering things that your mind cannot, and having no context for why you're reacting the way you are.

I thought Braeden's struggle with his Dad was put off and just sort of a small aside. I don't know what more could have been done, but it just felt very unimportant when it seemed more important in previous books. And Braeden's decision not to tell Ivy didn't sit right with me....ESPECIALLY as he's watching her get confused by her reactions. I just couldn't ever get behind that decision of his, and I still don't understand why he made it. I would want my significant other to be able to heal, and how can she heal when she doesn't know it happened? So that was choice #1 I couldn't get behind. So it kind of made me have a lack of empathy towards Braeden. I mean, I know it was hard keeping the secret, but when you think it's the wrong choice, it's hard to feel bad for him.

I do love a lot of the rest of Ivy and Braeden's relationship. They're really adorable together, and despite my other feelings, I could feel how much Braeden loved her and hurt for her. And I forgot to mention this in my previous review, but Braeden loving sprinkles pretty much kills me. LOVE it.

The Zach stuff was weird. I haven't decided how I feel about being in his head. I had problems with my suspension of disbelief in certain parts of this book, and I guess part of that was in what happened with him.

There were some issues with the climax as well that had me rounding down instead of up.

So it had lots of goodness, but there were just a few things that made it difficult for me to enjoy it as much as the rest of the series. Still looking forward to #Heart though.

Can I just say how much I love Braeden? I thought Romeo had me hands down. Boy, was I wrong. Braeden was just perfect!

Ivy is still processing everything that happened in the last book. How the people of Alpha U treated her because of what Alpha buzz posted. Fortunately, she has the support of Rimmel and Braeden and later on her brother Drew shows up to check on her. At first I wasn't sure I was going to like him but soon he was part of the "family". Ivy doesn't know what Braeden is keeping from her but she knows there is something separating them and she wishes he would just trust her.

Braeden spends most of the time feeling guilty. Undecided about revealing what he knows and the repercussions of that truth. He loves Ivy and only wants to protect her. He senses the distance he has created by lying to her.

Rimmel and Romeo have a lot of page time which is always great to read. They are still so cute together and so supportive of each other. Romeo even buys a home so they can all live together while he's away.
Romeo relationship with Braeden is like bothers. They have one of the best bromances. They like to joke, and play around but when things matter they back each other up in a heart beat.

Trent was a nice addition to this group of great characters. I'm happy he and Drew will be getting their own spinoff series.

This series is one of my favorites. I do believe you gain more from reading them in order.

I really think Amazon should add more stars because this book deserves it! I may be a little to emotional to write this review but that's how good this story is. I have followed this series and watched these characters grow and I have not been dissapointed. This book dealt with some serious issues, but Cambria wrote them out like the pro that she is! I was on edge, I was mad and fell in love with B all over again....this book definitely gave me the feels. I was so happy to get to see Romeo and Rimmel and B and Ivy all together again. Cam I am so excited you decided to continue this series and we will definitely be stocking up on coffee ;) People if you haven't read this series what the heck are you waiting on! #♡ #Nerd4life
