Product Description

No one knew the devastation of those three words more than Faith Winston and five years ago, she endured every one of them. All she wanted was to feel safe and marry the very man who promised to love her and protect her, Ryker Knight.

But growing up in the Nordic Lords Motorcycle Club, she should have known she couldn’t have a happy ending. Instead, her world became a nightmare. The bikers—her family—abandoned her, leaving her to crash without their safety net.

Ryker Knight has spent the last five years consumed with guilt, running from the ghosts that haunt him. That is until his past catches up with him the moment his brother needs his help. Returning home to Jasper Bay, he’s forced to face the same ghosts he was running from. Only to find that the woman he loved is trapped in a hell of her own, entrenched behind enemy lines —and it’s all his fault.

And even though Ryker’s life comes with priorities that he can’t – and won’t - turn his back on, he refuses to leave Jasper Bay until he’s found Faith.

But will she want to return to the life she’s always wanted even if Ryker is no longer capable of giving her what he once promised?

This story was one i was waiting for. It was worth the wait. The story unfolded nicely and the characters are all lovable and have their moments when you just don't get them, i like characters having faults and doubts it makes them real. Its a great addition to the Nordic Lords with a creative story line.

4.0 out of 5 stars hard start, but ended up loving it 1 February 2015

Tough story, and it took me a while to get into. I didn't enjoy the first part AT ALL. As in, I skipped around a lot. I contemplated putting it down & reading it later. It was painful (the story - the writing is superb as ever).

I didn't start to really engage w/ the story until chapter 14, but then at that point I was sucked in & the ride was fast & I enjoyed Faith & Ryker a lot! I think my issue was that we're shown a lot of Faith & Ryker being broken - and while I understand it from a story perspective, it just wasn't what I wanted to read. As I said, once we got past that part, I was all in. : ) And I'm still excited to read the next book(s)! : )

Reduced to being nothing but a high end prostitute, after her mother sold her for protection and drugs, Faith has finally accepted her lot in life. That is until the man who once loved her and is part of the reason she had no choice, walks back into her life. Not only does he walk back in but he attempts to right the wrongs of his past and regain the trust and love of he woman that he loves? But it may be too late.

Ryker has loved Faith since they were kids, she was his woman and world. Until that one night 5 years ago when he made a mistake and shot his Father, then ran to Faith for comfort only to see her in the arms of another man. Was she willing? He didn't know and didn't care, he left town and never looked back. But the past always has a way of catching up to you and Ryker's past is no different. When he needs to return home to help his brother Daemon and the Nordic Lords MC, after Liv is shot, he didn't realize that it would set him on a crash course of past feeling with the woman who broke his heart. Will he be able to save her from her current life and will they be able to find a future? Only time will tell.

Point of Redemption (Nordic Lords MC #2)
By: Stacey Lynn
4/5 stars

At the end of book 1, Point of Return, Ryker had just gotten a lead on Faith’s whereabouts. This book doesn’t start right after this, it back tracks to Ryker working & living in New Orleans before Daemon called him to come home. So we also got to see quite a few interactions from book 1, but from Ryker’s and Faith’s POV.

Ryker Knight left Jasper Bay about 5 years ago after the infamous night where Olivia was shot, her mother was killed and his father was killed in the Knight family home. He ran from his entire life. He left Faith, his fiancée, his brother Daemon, who was also his only blood relative. Since then he never goes home, rarely calls his brother and tries to work and drink away the ghosts that haunt him, of which there a two main characters, his dad and Faith.

Faith was an escort at the Penny Boarding House for the Black Death MC, and not by choice or free will. But Daemon, who was VP at the time made a deal with Hammer, the President of the Black Death, to help out the other MC & work together to get rid of another problem in exchange for getting Faith back. But at the end of book 1, Cain, the VP of Black Death took off with Faith and the Nordic Lords had been searching high and low for her.

Faith and Ryker have many issues to work through in their pasts, both individually and together. They will have to examine their past relationship and decide if they can let go of the guilt and blame and be able to move forward.

I really liked this book, but there were inconsistencies compared to the info given in book 1. For example, in book 1, Ryker was on 2 years older than Daemon but in this book, he was 4 and where someone was stabbed in book 1, in this one that person was shot. For me, the last 20% of the book wasn’t needed. Except for the very last scene.
