Product Description

I had six rules I lived by:

1. Know your mark.
2. Listen and never look bored.
3. Never reveal your true self.
4. Never stay in one place too long.
5. Exit as smoothly as you entered.
6. Never fall in love.

I was a charmer, a seducer, and the woman that men were hungry to get their hands on. Rich men never should have trusted me, but they did. It was stupidity on their part. Things were going well and I was doing what I was supposed to do, until I ripped off the wrong millionaire. A millionaire who came after me with a vengeance. My name is Kate Harper and this is my story.

I was the CEO of Quinn Hotels, one of the largest hotel chains in the world. I met Kate Harper on an airplane back from Seattle to New York. She was captivating and had my attention the moment I laid eyes on her. But she was far from the person she said she was. After parting ways at JFK airport, I discovered she ripped me off. I never thought I’d see her again, but fate stepped in and we crossed paths. This time I wasn’t letting her go until her debt to me was paid. She was every kind of wrong, but that didn’t stop the feelings that emerged while I kept her in my possession. My name is Gabriel Quinn and this is my story.

It is so rare to read a book when the heroine is so unlikeable from the beginning. You have zero empathy for her, but you absolutely love her attitude and fearlessness, even if you question her morals. As the book unveils itself it truly is like an onion and you learn the layers of her character as she slowly shows her real self.

Sandi Lynn is the queen of millionaire romances and I've read them all, but nothing intrigued me or was as unexpected as 'Playing the Millionaire'. It truly is the most original love story.

Amy, Hannah, Caro .... our heroines aliases are many as is her hair and eye colour. In fact, she is a chameleon dressing to hook in the next vulnerable millionaire to con out of a small fortune. A master thief, a master manipulator and a woman of many disguises she is as beguiling as she is beautiful.

Kate Harper is so used to moving onto the next city, the next con, the next wig and coloured contact lens she never expects to trip up. Finally however she has stolen a $30k Cartier watch from the wrong millionaire.

Gabriel Quinn is charmed by the mystery woman on his flight, normally wanting the window seat himself he is so mesmerised he decided to go with it and see if he can strike up a conversation as she is quite breathtaking. Things unravel and once he realises what she's stolen he is determined to make her pay and hold her captive and turn her already crazy world on it's head.

As mentioned earlier in this review, this is such an unexpected read, as things slowly unfold, you realise how utterly unexpected these two characters are and how nothing is as it seems. Gabe and Kate have chemistry that is off the charts but there true connection is emotional, raw and real.

I think Sandi Lynn has outdone herself with this book and it definitely breaks the mould of a very predictable genre. 5 Intriguing Stars...

I found I wasn't captured in the beginning of this book like I am with Ms Lynn's books so was slightly dissapointed but found I became more intrigued to see how the storey developed and was disappointed and before I knew I couldn't put it down.
