This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. I loved the sense of family with the Montgomery's. It wasn't always smooth sailing, but there was always love. I really don't think Kamal ever considered bringing Jayda into his world completely, but after their first chance meeting he couldn't get her off his mind. Then with their second completely unexpected encounter, he knew he had to fight for her and her little girl Reese.
The part that stood out to me the most was how Jayda became her own woman as the book progressed. Thinking that she didn't deserve to be anything more than a mans arm candy, with her current situation and also with the help of Kamal, she realised that she was worth so much more.
Fantastically written with superb characters I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book

Good but major editing needed!Reviewed in the United States on 15 September 2020
I like this author and her story lines are normally captivating. This book left a lot to be desired in terms of grammatical mistakes. I want to continue to support the author but something has to give. I refuse to pay for mediocrity. I know she can do better. I would still encourage the purchase of the book because the overall story line is captivating.

Kamal met Jayda at a gathering. The friendship turned to love. However, as in any good story, there is a jerk......his name is Brett. This book was really good. Can't wait until the next book in the series.

Kamal knew that love and marriage were not for him due to his past examples. However, when he saves Jayda and her daughter that evening, the bond they began to build was more than they could ever hope for. Through a series of circumstances, love is built/ rebuilt and showing what is meant by “Montgomery Compound”.
