Book 2 in the New York Times bestselling rock star romance series from Kylie Scott

VOTED AUSTRALIA'S FAVOURITE ROMANCE AUTHOR 2013 & 2014

Mal Ericson, drummer for the world famous rock band Stage Dive, needs to clean up his image fast - at least for a little while. Having a good girl on his arm should do the job just fine. But he didn't count on exactly how much fun he could have being with the one right girl.

Anne Rollins has money problems. Big ones. But being paid to play the pretend girlfriend to a demented drummer was never going to be a good idea. No matter how hot he is. She's had her sights set on her male bestie, Reece, for years. And now that she's supposedly taken, he's finally paying attention. If only the chemistry between her and her rock star would stop hitting new heights.

I Loved Lick and when I found out the whole group is getting a book I almost flatlined........

I read this in one night, I never would have been able to put it down, it was that good.

I think a lot of Stage Dive Series fans were putting a lot of pressure on this being beyond Awesome and having Kylie Scott step up and pretty much shouting Challenge Accepted, and freaking NAILED IT!!!! She did an amazing job and put out and an even more incredible story full of heartbreak, Love, and all the little issues that make it even more enjoyable. I love how Kylie smashes you in the brain with some sadness and great story plot.

Mal is the Hilarious Drummer of Stage Dive and one of the best characters ever written. He is sensitive and manly and uses humour to hide some scary feelings. I absolutely love Mal he has the funniest lines. I completely love his personality and his relationship with Anne is wonderful.

Anne is a bit of a pushover and many can relate to her. I loved her originality as a character. She overcomes some serious obstacles, and goes to prove what you want isn't always what you get and its way way better. I think the Pumpkin nickname is awesome and wholey appropriate to Anne and a representation of Mal's personality.

As a couple the connect straight away even when they aren't exactly together and suit each other perfectly. I loved that they both had serious obstacles to overcome and helped each other grow and evolve.

I loved the cameos of the rest of the band especially David and Ev and more Ben was great (I look forward to his story and Jimmy's), I think the boys played a bigger part in this instalment, than David's book.

All up a story of perfection, some laugh out loud lines some Hot sexy scenes and an array of awesome characters, I cannot wait for Jimmy's story next I think its going to be another mind blowing experience.

Now just have to wait for the Paperback release!!!!!!

PLAY is the second instalment in Kylie Scott’s contemporary, adult, erotic Stage Dive series focusing on the members of the rock bank Stage Dive and the women they love. This is Stage Dive’s sexy and off the wall drummer Mal Ericson and twenty three year old book store clerk Anne Rollins’s story. Although we had not been previously introduced to Anne, she is Evelyn Ferris’s former neighbor-Ev married Stage Dive’s lead guitarist David Ferris in book one LICK.

Told from Anne’s first person point of view the storyline focuses on Mal and Anne’s very new relationship. Our couple meet at a party at David and Evelyn’s condo where Mal is immediately drawn to Anne. Mal is a man who possesses the smooth charm and even smoother tongue to make any woman swoon but it is hyper active/manic personality that draws people like a moth to a flame. A sexy drummer with a reputation for one night stands, Anne isn’t fooled by Mal’s charm-there is something sad hiding behind Mal’s comedic façade-a sadness that Anne recognizes only too well. Mal and Anne’s relationship is a very-quick friends to lovers storyline that is incredibly hot, intimate and intense.

Anne will remind many readers about themselves or someone that they know-she has been taken advantage of time and again-from her boss to her former roommate Anne’s life is currently defined by the number of times she has been screwed by the people that she trusts. In this, our couple’s story will begin when Mal makes her an offer that she could not refuse because Mal isn’t accepting anything less. Anne is about to lose her apartment and Mal offers himself up to be her new roommate.

The world building continues from the introductory storyline LICK where we were first introduced to the volatile and troubled members of Stage Dive.

I really enjoyed this book, the second in the series. Mal showed his crazy fun style, as in the previous book, but we also got to see a more emotional side to him when he had to deal with an impending drama. Anne, is strong and courageous but also has this soft side but she doesn't put up with Mal 's @!$& either. Would recommend reading this series in order - can't wait for the next one, Lead, to released.

Wow! Wow! Wow!
Kylie Scott has written another fantastic book. As usual Ms Scott's writing is of a high calibre and the story of Mal and Anne has held me captivated and enthralled all day. Yes, all day - it was impossible to put down.
Mal is absolutely adorable, lovable and hilarious - he had me giggling frequently and is one of those cheeky rogues where you can't wait to see what crazy words will spurt out of his mouth next. You can't help but fall in love with him from the beginning - well to be honest, I'm sure I fell in love with him in book 1 of this series - Lick.
Anne is a great character - she has a greater strength of will than I when it comes to dealing with Mal. Lord only knows how she managed to keep from melting into a puddle whenever Mal came near her. She is the kind of girl that you would want to be friends with and if someone has to take Mal away from me, I'm glad it's her. Kind of.
This is one book that will be going straight to the re-read folder.

Lick was such a fabulous read that I couldn’t wait to pick up Play and now with Lead out, that is next on my list. Kylie Scott is such a talented writer, with humorous characters and fantastic world building that I felt I was right there. Malcolm would have to be my favourite, although I am very intrigued to read Ben’s story; he really came out of his shell in Play. Malcom is the fun guy in the group and there is certainly never a dull moment. One thing’s for sure though and that’s when Malcolm has his mind set on something, nothing can change it.

Anne Rollins is a twenty three year old that works in a bookstore and has always had a crush on her boss, but he’s a womaniser that isn’t looking in her direction. Arriving at her apartment after work, Anne finds it half empty and no roommate. It looks like her now ex-roommate, Skye has bailed taking furniture. Skye owes rent and left before paying up. Anne is such a loving and caring person that always tries to help others, but this time her rent is due eight days and only has $65 to her name. What will she do?

Lauren and Nate live next door to Anne and of course she’s heard of Stage Dive with her ex-neighbour Ev marrying David. Lauren comes over and drags Anne to a party with Stage Dive; Anne has had a crush on Malcolm Ericson since high school and Anne is curious to see the drummer. Her boss, crush and best friend, Reece calls while she’s at the party and Anne steps onto the balcony to talk.

Finishing the call, Anne realises she isn’t alone on the balcony, there in the shadows is the tall drummer that heard her conversation. Anne was struck speechless that the drummer of Stage Dive is talking to her. With his hilarious round-about way, Mal tells Anne she is a doormat and Anne blows up at him.
