Product Description

**Contains the first 2 chapters of Brides of the Kindred 19, Unbound as a BONUS**
Krisa Elyison is a bride-to-be—bought and paid for by a stuffy aristocrat. Though she secretly longs for just one adventure all on her own, she knows the reality of her life—she is destined to be the wife of the elderly and pompous Lord Radisson.

Kurt Teague is a prisoner—a galactic criminal wanted for multiple murders. He is also Feral, a proud and savage people known for their indomitable wills to survive and their fiercely possessive natures. His tortured past has turned him into a ruthless killer—an unthinkable fate to the innocent, sheltered Krisa.

Resigned to her destiny, Krisa boards the starship that will take her to another planet and her loveless marriage. In the cargo hold, she stumbles across Teague—so fierce a prisoner he’s blindfolded and chained to a wall. Even so, her heart jumps at the sound of his deep, gravely voice.

When the ship crashes onto an uncharted jungle planet, Krisa has no choice but to trust the menacing convict with both her virginity and her life. Yet, on a world filled with ravenous telepathic beasts and cannibalistic natives…Krisa discovers that the gorgeous and mysterious Teague may be the most dangerous animal of all.

4.0 out of 5 stars Need the next book ASAP 4 March 2017

I bought this book after it was re-released with the new cover. I was slightly skeptical as I've read the entire Brides of the Kindred series and was expecting a lot of the same wording used because that was the case with that series. I'm was really surprised that they didn't mirror as much as I thought they might. Even the main character, though sheltered, seemed to be a slightly stronger person than everyone the Brides of the Kindred series. They all seemed scared to go after what they wanted due to past experiences and this character didn't have that issue and I was thoroughly surprised and thrilled to read yet another book where women just couldn't go for what they actually wanted. I will say that (not to be too much of a spoiler) that when the final straw that broke the camel's back was going down, I wish the character had just gone with it instead of then turning all scared and looking for a way out. It would have gone over so much better if she took what she wanted and stopped acting so afraid if her mind was already made up. I literally cannot wait for the next book as this was probably my favorite of all the books of hers I have read.

Well...that's going to keep my fantasy life busy for quite some time!! WOW! This book is seriously HOT & considering how little actual sex happens, that's impressive.. Think pitch black/ riddick meets Disney princess & your close but the characters totally work. It winds up slowly at the start but once it gets going it just doesn't let up...had me totally hooked from start to finish, with great editing so you don't hit those jarring 'what?' Moments..Highly recommend & think I'll be off to read it again, Now...awesome book

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this book! 18 August 2013

I really did love this book after the first chapter or two. Once Teague and Krisa were off the ship and stranded on the stand and dangerous Planet X, the story came to life and the excitement and super sexual escapades began. I have to say, though, that her first encounters with the chained murderer were pretty interesting. The alien characters and animals they came across during their journey to a small village were scary, sweet and sometimes cute. Kisa kept having dreams of a man who did wonderful things to get, but could not see who it was. She was on her way to meet the older man who had purchased her as his bride. She was very shy and most definitely a virgin, so these dreams were very confusing. Their travels through the sense jungle was fought with short days and dangerous animals who killed as soon as night fell. Slowly their relationship began to change and she became a much stronger woman. Especially when Teague was in danger. The time they spent in the village was rather unusual because of the customs of the villagers. Teague has to "show" them that Kiss belonged to him in other to keep a village male from taking her. Seemed like all their customs were pretty sexual and very erotic in nature. Great book and I read it easy too fast. I think it's a standalone novel which is a shame. I would love this story to continue. There was a lot going on throughout the entire book and kept me totally engrossed. More please.

I want to go to planet X. But only if I can have my own hot Feral. I loved this book. It was like being immersed in different cultures. I can't say that I would want to be part of the so called civilized parts of the cultures. No thank you 18th century. I like being an independent modern woman. I like the being on the run feel in parts of this book and the way the relationship develops for Teague and Krisha. I also love how protective he becomes of her. There are so many, too many great things to say about this book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Wouldn't Call This Sexy At All....But The Story Is A Lot Of Fun 3 September 2016

Here's the thing. I like Teague, as much as anyone can like a sexually driven but somehow honorable alien guy. I like Krisa because she's good at keeping her virtue intact because it safeguards a future for her. But can all the stupid and explicit sex dreams be removed please? They literally don't affect the plot. And why was there a third rape attempt at the end? The first one ended okay, the second was actually kinds scary, but the third one was out of nowhere to the point of totally contrived. Like you can't introduce Teague again without him having to save Krisa? Really?

Also, why are the Yss so obsessed with sexual acts being put on display? UGH. For a people so hung up on things being offensive, they sure do like their peep shows.

And lastly, there were a lot of grammar and punctuation mistakes. There were so many that I was surprised that there was even an editor. That person literally had one job...hope she didn't get paid, because the editing is a mess.

But...strangely enough, the story, aside from the random erotic dreams that do nothing to the story, the plot itself was very interesting. Crash landing on Planet X....running from a telepathic monster.... staying with cannibals ..... learning to trust in Teague little by little..... getting memory wiped....

This book is definitely high up there on the story, but low on the random erotic moments. Literally, the author used those dirty sex dreams just to keep certain readers interested (you know who you are!!), and they don't do much to the story and don't go anywhere.

And the dirty talk could have been edited out and made a little more romantic, at least. The dirty talk and foreplay was so WEIRD. Teague just wanted Krisa to learn to obey her body and not her mind....despite the fact that that's simple biology. Any rapist could make a victim feel good during sex...doesn't make it any less rapey. It's science. So, sorry Teague, but Krisa didn't say "yes" on her definitely pushed her to say it.

And that final sex scene was weird too...I won't spoil what happens....but any human being should find it weird. Nor rapey weird like the other one, but just.... not what normal humans would do.

So, I would recommend this more to people who would appreciate the story over the erotica element because the story is definitely the strongest part. It is interesting, thrilling, and sad in some parts. Can't say I regret reading it, despite its problems. Who knows...maybe in 150 years I might decide to read it again.
