Product Description

Would you abandon your present for a second chance at your past?

Cecelia Reynolds has spent most of her life trying to forget the commitment-phobic man who broke her heart. It wasn't easy, but eventually she did it, or so she thought...

As Cecelia and her husband gather for a friend's wedding, her perfect world is thrown into complete turmoil. Even though it's been twenty years since she last laid eyes on Keith Emerson, all it takes is one glance for her to feel emotions she thought were long gone. When Keith ends up officiating the ceremony, she quickly realizes his message of love is directed at her, not the happy couple. But can she believe him?

We live our entire lives thinking we know ourselves. But do we ever really?

As secrets and lies cause Cecelia's world to spin completely out of control, she is forced to seek advice from the most unlikely ally. In the process, she must confront the demons of her past and the events that shaped her into the woman she is now. Will she finally learn the real meaning of love, friendship, and family?

While this book is a sequel to Plan Bea, it also reads as a standalone.

I just love Hilary Grossman’s books. She’s a great writer, and her stories are addictive. As with book 1, Plan Bea, in this series, I was hooked right from the first page. It was nice being able to hang out with my old friends after such a long wait for them. This series is women’s fiction at it’s finest.

In this book we follow Cecelia (Cee) Reynolds as she struggles with the decision to let the man from her past, who has held her heart for decades, go or to be true to her husband. There is a lot of emotion written into this story and it really portrayed that ‘what if’ question we have so many times in life. I know I wouldn’t want to struggle with the decision Cee had to make, that’s for sure! But I’ve no doubt many women have.

One thing that is really great about Hilary’s books is how real they are. Nothing is over the top or unrealistic, it’s true to life. Not always the most fun moments in life but the real struggles that we often have as life passes us by.

What I Loved?
-Cecelia… I loved her character. While I’m not sure I loved her as much as Bea, she was likable, real and someone I would love to be friends with. I felt her struggle as I read it and even dreaded the part where her life seemed to explode, right along with her.
-Bea! I loved Bea from book one. Yeah, she’s a cantankerous old bitty but so am I. LOL I relate to her with her level of sarcasm so meeting up with her again felt like meeting up with an old friend.
-Bryce & Keith. I loved Bryce, although I’m not sure I’d have chosen him or Keith! Bryce was the sweet, nice guy every girl wants in life. Keith on the other hand, played the part of the ‘bad boy’ if that’s even the right word. Even though, you know not to get involved with Keith, you just can’t help it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Like watching a car wreck in slow motion! 21 March 2017

Good grief! Such a taboo topic--the heroine of this story gambles it all to have an affair! What a page turner. What an emotional roller coaster. I did not like the ex-boyfriend despite his manifold of attractions. And just like watching a car crash in slow motion, I was a witness to Cee making a terrible mistake. Nothing I could do--but could not look away. I wanted to shake her, remind her about her beautiful family and amazing husband. The ending left me hopeful but hesitant. I can only hope that things will work out for Cee. There are so many lessons here.

4.0 out of 5 stars Did it 20 April 2017

I could not put this book down! It brought out all emotions - happiness, anger, sadness, hope. It made me see things from different perspectives - I admit that I was quick to judge Cee but realized that its just possible that if I was in the same situation that many , just maybe, I could be more forgiving.

5.0 out of 5 stars All the feels 12 March 2017
By Meredith Schorr - Published on

Hilary Grossman’s skill is crafting novels that bring out all sorts of strong emotions in the reader: anger, sadness, fear, frustration, and hope to name a few. Plan Cee was no exception. There were moments I disliked Cee with a passion, yet I also cared for her and had an intense stake in how things turned out. Just like with Plan Bea, the story had a lot of twists and turns and intriguing plot twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the ending. It was real yet satisfying. I look forward the author’s next book!
