Mistakes were made, okay?

What she hadn’t anticipated was how difficult Kyle Kingston would be to locate.

”Even if it's totally unfair that he knocked me up. I take responsibility for breaking my penis diet, but the condom malfunction is on him."

From internet stalking, crashing a retirement party and crazy pregnancy hormones, Daisy finds herself with a fiance she hadn’t planned on.

”Let's get married." "Oh, no. No, no, no." I'm shaking my head as I speak. "Nope. Not happening." "Do you have a better plan?" "A better plan than pretending to be your wife? Are you insane? As in, legally mentally deranged?"

Before she knows it, Daisy has moved in with Kyle, wearing a diamond ring bigger then her head, and being added to his Netflix account. Sometimes unexpected plans are exactly what you need.

Plan B was a great read with sweet & funny moments as well as hot scenes which are of no surprise since it was written by Jana Aston.
This author has the knack for writing hysterical characters and clever dialogue. She’s just genuinely witty and I always look forward to her books.
Where Daisy was kooky, slightly neurotic, Kyle was the perfect counterpart to this relationship!

”But I'm close to release and I need her there with me because contrary to what she thinks, I have manners. Also, I think she's liable to turn my toothbrush into a shank to murder me with if I don't get her off."

I’ve had this book on my kindle since its release. Finally I got around to reading it and now I am angry at myself for taking this long.
Daisy and Kyle are perfect for each other. Daisy had me laughing myself silly throughout the book. Her inner dialogue is outstanding, almost bordering on the ridiculous but overall it made the book in my opinion.
Her special “diet” was a unique twist that I have never read before and I absolutely loved it. Luckily she decided to break said diet with Kyle - he was totally gorgeous.
Can’t wait to read Jana’s next book

Sadly, I could not finish this book. I do have a sense of humour, and I do enjoy romcom as a genre. But I found this book trite, lame, and just boring. Tired tropes, fairly uninteresting characters. At about half way through I started skimming, then at about 80% I decided to stop wasting my time, and abandoned it.

I also did not like the h's potty mouth. I'm not a prude, but I don't like my MCs using the f-word in casual conversation. I don't like that in real life or in books.

I keep buying Ms Aston's books because I so enjoyed Wrong and its sequels. But I'm seriously losing faith in this author. I just do not like her writing style any more, and I will think very carefully before buying the next new one.

After reading Violet's story in Sure Thing, I was keen for Daisy's. After breaking her no man diet with a one night stand she finds out he's left her pregnant. The problem is, he's hard to track down despite being a prominent, wealthy man. Seems the richer they are, the harder they are to get to. Still perseverance pays off and she finds Kyle, but to get access to where he is, she claims she's his fiance. When he finds out, I thought he might not be that happy with her, but it turns out, he wasn't upset by the whole scenario at all and in fact, wants to do the right thing and marry Daisy. Not quite what she had in mind, but she warms to the idea. The chemistry is good between them. They like one another. It looks like it might be all smooth sailing for them, or will it?

I do LOVE Jana Aston stories, her h's are witty, funny, quirky, well articulated and just the nicest girls you'd ever meet. Her H's are rich (I love that we never have financial issues to spoil our HEA) they're also tall, caring, handsome and have the best personality. The stories are so sweet, the characters are so sweet, it's a wonder we don't all have a mouthful of sugar induced cavities. I also wonder why I don't find these books to be a bit too predictable and I think for me it's Jana's ability to spin gold, it's exactly those things that I mentioned I love especially the quirky witty and fun part, that makes her books so enjoyable.

The plot line in one line:
Two months after a hot one night stand, successful blogger Daisy tracks down the hunk she slept with – who’s heir to the biggest retail empire in the US – simply to tell him she’s pregnant but when they reunite sparks fly and he doesn’t plan to shirk daddy duties.

The good and the bad:
While this book is written in Jana Aston’s usual moreish style – and I did eat it up incredibly quickly – it is my least favourite of her books. That said, she is an author whose novels I have consistently awarded 4 or 5 stars, so saying this is my least favourite of her books is like saying chocolate is my least favourite part of a Neapolitan ice cream - I’d still snaffle it right after I’ve finished the strawberry and the vanilla.

What disappointed me about Plan B was the sex. I enjoy a really hot, well-written sex scene and Aston is the queen of these as far as I am concerned, so I couldn’t wait to see what treats she had in store in this book. I was very surprised to find it lacking in the usual quantity of bonking. The bonking that did take place wasn’t as detailed and as erotic as is usual for an Aston novel. It was – ha ha - anticlimactic.

I also found the “twist” at the end a little weak and the hero’s jealous ex a bit of a predictable character.

So, yes I would recommend reading this book but I’d suggest you read all Aston’s other books first. At the very least, read Sure Thing before this one, as Plan B runs in parallel to that book and gives away some of the plot line to the earlier book.

Plan B is the sequel to Sure Thing, but don't worry if you've not read it, I would because you're missing out if you don't but it's not essential to Plan B. These books revolve around twin sisters Violet & Daisy Hayden. In Sure Thing, Daisy talks Violet into doing her job for a week, now in Plan B we find out why the twin swap was necessary.
Daisy is in Philadelphia, to get there she dallied in a little internet stalking, just to be polite mind you, it's good manners you see to inform your one night stand that he knock you up. That's how she finds herself in the middle of a retirement party, newly fake engaged to her baby daddy Kyle Kingston, CEO of a huge chain of family run department stores. Not that she's fazed by this Daisy lives life as it comes. So the marriage of convenience/propriety which Kyle proposes, she takes in her stride, even though she'd planned to have the baby by herself.
Daisy & Kyle have chemistry in spade loads, but this is truly a tale of opposites attract. Where Daisy is seat of her pants, Kyle is responsibility (well except for the whole one night stand thing).
I swooned over Kyle so much, he is quieter than most rom com leading men, but man can he deliver good swoon. Daisy is witty & adventurous, her banter & one liners are hilarious.

Review in return for ARC, however I'm a long time fan, I've bought the book & will buy the audio once it's released.

Once again, Jana Aston writes a brilliantly funny, engaging romantic comedy that I loved.
This time Daisy, twin sister of Violet from Sure Thing, has her moment in the spotlight. Daisy is considered the wild sister but an unexpected pregnancy brings out the grown up to the fore.
Despite Daisy wanting to simply inform the child's father of impending fatherhood and going on her independent way, she is confronted by Kyle who doesn't want to let her go!
What follows is a supposed marriage of convenience, that sparks real feelings and sexy, silly situations between the pair.
I devoured this book in a single sitting. Daisy was hilarious but so very adorable in her quest to do the right thing, I just loved her character.
Kyle was for the most part a good guy but he irritated me by not giving Daisy the whole story behind his urge to marry.
The last couple of chapters luckily redeemed him in my eyes otherwise I'd be wishing for divorce. 😃
