Good book- shame about the mobile app formatting
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 August 2012Verified Purchase
I have not yet finished this book - I am really enjoying it but almost gave up as I am reading it on my mobile app and the formatting of the pages is awful! There are ends of sentences missing from the bottom of pages and then random repeats of chunks of the text. Very confusing. In addition to that, whenever I get the to frequent clips of postings to a forum, I have the reduce the text size to the minimum to be able to read them or else they display as almost vertical text! Then I have to increase the font size again to read the normal passages. Still, at least it shows that the book is worth reading.

woven intrigue
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 May 2012Verified Purchase
I loved this book. It has a number of different threads running through the main story which is a legal / crime drama. I totally related to Lilly, down to earth and just trying to do her job in the best way she can despite constant upheaval and forces against her. Realistically, she is sexy in an earthy confident way, given the demands on her time and her relationship with Jack works very well. I read this book before Damaged goods and cannot wait to start that one next.

Great read, takes the reader on a journey from the privileged class to the world of illegal immigrants on the run. This has a really interesting thread running through the story that keeps you guessing to the end. Justice must be done but will it? Takes you from a Private school to the dark and dismal life of the homeless in a city where nobody cares. Excellent!

Absolutely brilliant couldn't stop reading
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 July 2013Verified Purchase
Wasn't sure what to expect from this book but it had everything. You end up rooting for the characters and love that it links so many different lifestyles and challenges so many stereotypes. Hard to describe why it is so good but you should read it because it is brilliant and you will not be able to put it down until you've finished. I am just off to download another Helen black master piece.
