Has quickly become my most favourite author, always fabulous writing and keeps you guessing until the end. Maggie, book 2, is every bit as good as the first and I look forward to No 3, she's a great character to firmly entrench yourself with. Do yourself a favour and start with the very beginning of Keith Houghton's journey as a very credible author.

how silly does this sound... I kept interrupting my reading of A Place Called Fear with an old old book (RF Delderfield) because... although I wanted to know what happened, who did it and why, the story was so good I didn't want to finish it in a hurry... so it got spaced out. ????? Don't ask, it felt right, even as I was going back into the past I was thinking 'how's Maggie going to get over this one?'

Another masterpiece from Keith Houghton

Having become a big fan due to the Gabe Quinn books, the first Maggie Novak book upped the bar for me, particularly as I feel a familiarity with the geography. This second book in the series did not disappoint, being laced with twists and turns which keep the reader constantly guessing. Thoroughly recommended and hoping that Keith isn’t too long writing the next one; he’s even got my wife reading fiction.

I don't write book reviews but I know what I like and Keith Houghton is up there with the best. Maggie Novak is a likeable character and I really look forward to the next in the series, but all of KH's books are real page turners and I highly recommend him. Turn your phone off, settle down and enjoy!

I loved the first Maggie Novak book from Keith Houghton and was looking forward to the second one. He didn't disappoint with a great plot, development of characters, especially Novak herself, and an exciting and surprise finale. Can't wait for the next one!

I loved this story. It's a book that you don't want to put down from page one. Thank you, Keith Houghton for keeping me so entertained. I was sad when it came to an end.
I can't wait for the next book of Maggie Novak. It's on order!
Well worth the 5 stars.
