This book was a surface read for me there was not guts to the book there were serious situations but they were fluffed over and then skipped to the next scene then all the guys he was hard to keep up with who she was in love with at times things were glossed over so fast nothing felt like it was truly explored I can't believe there is another book what more can they possibly go through I won't be reading on it was hard enough to get through this one lucky it was a cheap read

5.0 out of 5 stars Real, raw, and absorbing 4 November 2014

Holy cow, y'all. Kira Adams has blown me away with Pieces of Me. I loved everything about this book. It's so real. There was an almost instantaneous connection between Peyton and myself. She struggles with so much, and I identified with her. I saw myself in Peyton. It was so easy to cheer her on and follow her story because of this.

There are sprinklings of romance all over this book. The way that it finally comes together in the end left me with a ridiculous grin on my face. Like I said, I was totally team Peyton. My heart ached with hers, but I loved the way that Kira told her story. The romance is perfect and it's so fitting for this story. It was sweet at times and hard at times. Just like real life.

I've been a fan of Kira Adams for awhile, but Pieces of Me took that to a whole new level. I'm so glad that she decided to tell the story of Peyton. And I cannot wait to follow Peyton's story with the rest of this series!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story! 18 April 2015

I really loved this YA story. There was a LOT going on and sometimes I dislike that (I don't like it when there is a lot of drama in books) but this one didn't seem like drama to me. It was more of real life problems that teens deal with in their lives and although I didn't go through any of it like Peyton did, I really liked reading about her struggles and everything that she was going through.
Characters are likable and you will fall in love with quite a few. I liked that Peyton was not quite sure of what she wanted and who, she had a few boys she liked and you don't really know who will be the love interest till later in the story.
The villain in the story was a bully and you might hate him, the author did a great job at making him bad enough for you to hate.
There were some sad moments, not ugly cry kind of moments, but this story does make you feel emotion.
There are some twists that you don't see coming, or at least I didn't and it made for a very interesting plot.
I was never bored with the story, it does have a lot going on enough to keep you interested throughout.
I loved the lyrics to the songs at the beginning of every chapter, I really enjoyed reading them all.
There is a love story of course, a young love story so even though it does have sexual content it does not have steamy sex scenes so don't expect that when reading. The story is very good without them anyways ;)
I will recommend to my friends.

-The storyline or concept is what drew in to this book in the first place!
-The growth and development of the characters is well done and you get to many changes happen.
- The growth of Peyton character was happy and sad. Peyton goes through a lot with her self esteem issues.
- The prologue sets the book off with a sad note. The reasons I choose this as a pro because we learn about this scene later on in the book and also it shows Peyton's life before she goes under changes
- The character development, pace, and writing was absolutely amazing!
B. Cons:
- No Dual Povs. I think this will help with understanding Jax and Jace relationships, character, and home life. I never figure out why Jax was fixed on Peyton. Jace might know? He did warned her to stay away from Jax. We are given clues but no big picture with Jax's behavior.
- There are a lot of insecurities with Peyton. After a certain point, I found her to be obnoxious.
C. Overall: I like this one. The overall feel was happy, serious, and love. This might not be for everyone because of the subject matter. I'm curious to see where their story goes with the book 2.
D. Questions:
- Will I recommend this book? Yes.
- Worth the price? Yes.
-Reading Book 2? Yes.
5.0 out of 5 stars Peyton is a girl everyone can relate to! 10 stars in my book!!! 8 June 2015

I absolutely loved Peyton and Jace's story! This book was extremely well written.. I couldn't put it down! I fell in love with Peyton from the very first page! Kira poured her heart and soul into this book and you could tell. I related to Peyton in so many ways. I felt like I was in high school again reliving it all through Peyton's eyes but she has a strength I wish I only had then. Instead of your normal size 0 character, we have Peyton who is size 15. She's a normal girl that has normal problems like being bullied and depression. But with the help of her sister, best friends Colton and Jace she starts getting her life back together. She is such a strong person that is so relatable that you wish you could be best friends with her. This is one of my favorites my Kira and she completely wowed me with Pieces of Me!!

This book was crazy!

I felt so conflicted. Peyton was kind of shy in the beginning and then all of a sudden she wasn't. I didn't quite understand how she went from one to the other so quickly but I went with it.

This story was packed full of story! Peyton liked one boy only to find out he had a twin. Then the one boy she liked turned out to be really mean and stalkerish. While the other she liked but he held back. There was a lot, and I mean a LOT of teen drama in this book. I liked it though. I kept reading because I wanted to know what happened next. I needed to know what happened. And I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome!

I have the second book but haven't started it yet. I plan on continuing this series to see how it ends. :)
