Product description

Product Description

"One snap with the shutter of my camera, and you will be mine forever," he whispered.

My name is Sam, short for Samantha. I’m regular, boring and plain. During my time in college, the only class I could ever relax in was photography, or at least… until I met him.
The new photography teacher changed everything. He is too sexy for his own good, and his mind too twisted for words to describe. Now, I live every aching moment thinking about him, knowing that I shouldn’t. Together, we spiraled out of control, tumbled into the darkness, and honestly..? I think I like it.

This is going to be an awkward one for me to reviews, as though I didn't love it, I didn't hate it either.

There are the bones of a really great story here, but at times the execution felt a bit clunky.

I liked our leading lady Sam, and could feel her disconnection from people around her, her class mates, her dorm mates.

And Aiden - well, I wanted to love him, but I felt more time than not frustrated with him. The way he kept pulling Sam in to push her away again, ugh!

I just didn't feel "it" with Sam and Aiden. More often than not I was telling Sam in my head to run run run as fast as you can. It felt quite a toxic relationship. But maybe that is just me.

That all being said, there was enough to keep me interested to the end. Maybe a bit more fleshing out the characters, particularly their pasts might help?

There was plenty of heat between the pair, but sometimes it just wasn't enough.

4.0 out of 5 stars Marina is amazing at portraying characters! 12 October 2016
By Rose Strong - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Marina is amazing at portraying characters. I really liked the way she was able to describe both Aidan and Sam (especially Sam) through their inner monologues and thoughts. She did it in a subtle but profound way. Every problem they were facing, she was able to justify by her character's traits, so every reaction seemed natural and normal.
She gave Sam and Aiden weaknesses that made them seem more real and by doing it, made me doubt some of their choices, but you also let me think there was a possibility of redemption. As a reader, that possibility gave me hope in their eventual HEA.

I also liked their physical relationship. Those scenes played with my head, my imagination and my nerves- they were the absolute best! They added to the depth of both of the protags ad made the lines blurred. Perfect!

As for the descriptions of the art of photography and its meaning in the lives of Sam and Aiden- I know nothing about photography- it was soooo nice to read about it! I know nothing about the author's personal life, but her descriptions made me wonder about whether is it also one of her personal passions? She wrote about it as if she really felt deep for that kind of artistic expression and that’s what made her characters so realistic.

If only she made this novel longer! The characters have so much potential for more. I hope next itme we get to see at least 300 pages from her!
4.0 out of 5 stars Different take on student teacher romance. 16 October 2016
By Jessica Davey - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I really enjoyed this take on a student teacher romance. The characters aren't your typical people but I was drawn into the plot and had to find out what was going to happen.

The photography aspect of this book was a huge draw in for me. Seeing inside of sams head when she is think about it was truly amazing. And seeing how Aiden saw Sam, that was very interesting.

Aiden was an Interesting hero. He had qualitys that worked for him. I don't want to give too much away but his slow growing obsession was, while twisted at times it was beautiful.

There was heat but it wasn't overboard. It fit well with the story line and the characters. Where it was added in, it made the story flow that much better.

The inner dialogue was catchy. I didn't find my self skimming it waiting for dialogue between the characters and that's always a good thing. The author kept it to the point and that is a huge draw. Not a ton of unnecessary description.

My main complaint is how fast everything seemed to happen. It wasn't bad, but I found my self wanting to dive in deeper. This took span in one college school year so it was a lot packed into 150 pages

Overall I enjoyed this book. The plot was different and a little dark, she characters were flawed but beautiful and they got their happy ending. The author did a great job. This won't be my last book from this author. Insee the potential that she has and I can't wait to see more! 4 stars #2OCCJD
3.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable 27 December 2016

****3.5*****

It's hard for me to rate this book because, although I liked the overall personality of the characters and the plot, the story felt a bit too rushed and I was confused with the plot a few times. Something....I don't know, something just felt missing in this book. But I will say that the book is interesting and I kept reading until the end because I LOVED the characters.

Overall, I did enjoy this novel and I would recommend this book. If you like student-teacher romances, I say give this book a try!!
3.0 out of 5 stars Teacher student romance just got hot.... 1 November 2016
By Tanaka Kangara - Published on Amazon.com

Picture Me This is a book written by Marina Lovechild. This author is very new to me and I was so excited to read her book. Picture Me This was such a hot book with an awesome storyline. I loved it so much. I found myself gravitating towards the story and I was truly captivated form the first page to the last page.

Picture Me This was such a fun and exciting teacher student story. I love teacher student romances. They are my absolute favourite taboo. I quite enjoyed the storyline of this book because it was different from the other teacher student stories I have read. It was fresh and unique. I found myself so mesmerized by this book. The story had some dark elements that gave it an extra edge and dynamic to the story. Wow, the sex scenes were so hot that I thought my kindle will overheat with the sexual tension. It was purely beautiful erotica. However, I felt there was more sex scenes than plot. I wanted to know more information. It was too rushed in my opinion. I got a bit lost with the plot a bit to point I found myself confused. I do commend Marina Lovechild for giving us a story that was so interesting.

The characters were such an interesting much but I needed more background information on them. They were key facts that needed to be highlighted more you know. Sam was such a strong character. I loved her uniqueness and feisty side that really made her so likable. Aiden was hiding pain and simply wanted him to let go. I was swooning at his alpha side. It was so sexy.

Picture Me This was an awesome story I truly loved. Definitely be reading more books from Marina Lovechild.

Rec'd message reg this book from author... asking if i would like to read for honest review... i liked this sooo much, I purchased the book myself!!! This was a first time i read from this author, will NOT be my last !!! LOVED the characters, the story line, the dark erotic/thriller, and also the secrets/taboo of the story as well... the author did an awesome job of setting up not only the story, but the characters... they are definately NOT what i expected when i first started the book... Aiden Robinson- is our "H" of the book and yes, he is HOT, Sexy, Alpha male, 'new professor' for the photography program on campus, has some secrets.... (hmmm??)
Then we have our 'h' Samantha, aka.. 'Sam' - she is beautiful, comes from a family that thinks she is 'perfect'(she doesn't want to break that illusion for them.) her parents are very successful and pay for her college.. looking on outside - Sam has it all.. beauty, body, family, all american girl.. yet she is found behind the dumpster smoking 'pot' by no other... 'Aiden' or prof Robinson... (even Aiden believes she is just a girl who is spoiled and model type wanting to be seen..) until, he asks the class for a project and Samantha shows him "her TRUE self, thru PICTURES OF HERSELF!" WHAT should scare Aiden, turns him on ... they are dark, she is broken, raw, open for anyone to see she is NOT the "perfect girl" this sparks even more than what was already between the two of them and there is something that is pulling these two together..... yes, this book is sexy, HOT, yet also, dark, mysterious, and you must read to see what is the secrets they both hide and can these two broken people come together and make it work or will they destroy one another.... great book!!!
