To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This is a beautiful book. With the exception of the introduction and biography at the beginning, EVERY page has a full representation of a painting on (what would be the right side page in a regular book) with the title, date and medium on the (left). And therein lies the problem. If this was a physical book instead of an ebook I would give it 4 stars - but the way it is laid out you have to "turn back" to the description for each painting you'd like information on - in a regular book each 2-page spread would have all the information needed.
The reason I would give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the additional writing on each page has nothing to do with the painting displayed there, but is just the next half page of written information on Picasso.
Then there's "The Old Guitarist" - where's The Old Guitarist?!
