This is the first toothbrush of this kind that I've purchased (previously had a couple of the other common type with the rotation-oscillation head).
At first I found it slightly odd using it but I became used to it, and strangely I look forward to using it each time. The rapid vibration of the brush gives a strong impression that a thorough cleaning is taking place.
I mostly use it in the White mode. This means that after the usual two minute cycle (broken into four 30 second segments to encourage proper cleaning of the four corners of your mouth) there are two 15 second periods to polish the front of the teeth. I do believe my teeth are a little whiter as a result.
The brush switches off at the end of the mode you've selected.
Like a smartphone it contains an accelerometer. Lifting the brush switches on a couple of LEDs showing the selected brushing mode and the approximate level of battery charge.
It does an excellent job of cleaning and it has encouraged me to take more care of my teeth between brushing. Highly recommended.

I've had it for two months so far and loving this toothbrush! I spent more $$ on this compared to my last one, so was a bit unsure towards the start whether I was getting my value for money. However, now I am sure this toothbrush was worth it!
Battery life is great, lasts at least two weeks, sometimes slightly more.
The pink toothbrush is a really nice colour, fits into my bathroom well.
The travel case is handy and nice too.

A great purchase! I was using an Oral B pulsonic toothbrush before this, the brush head was a bit larger which was more coverage. So with the slightly smaller brush head, first few weeks were a bit different, but I got used to it quickly. Also, in the first few weeks, I had to get used to the power of this Sonicare, but again, got used to it pretty quickly.
