These pacifiers are the same ones they provided to us at the hospital when my son was born. I grabbed as many as I could while we were in the hospital because I knew they would be lost quickly under couches, in the car, etc. but I couldn’t get enough so I’ve had to purchase them on amazon a few times.
These are the “soothies” model. Our son will not take another type of pacifier because he is used to these. They are the closest to the look and feel of what a nursing mother has. I love that there is the hole in the middle to put your finger in and feel the baby suckling. It’s just such a cool feeling. It also helps my son calm down and feel that I’m there. My son is now 3 months old and still uses them regularly to soothe himself to sleep. I have also read that having a baby fall asleep with a pacifier can help reduce the risk of SIDS, so I like that benefit too.
My only complaint about this style is that they kind of take up his whole face. So in pictures you mostly just see the pacifier.
It’s advised to not use pacifiers until 6 weeks when breastfeeding has been established but these did not cause our son nipple confusion. (Every baby is different, I did not allow my now 8 year old to use a pacifier and now I’m wondering why because it really does help them learn to self soothe)
Every time I purchase something online, I always check the reviews. I count on others to help me choose the best option. My reviews are always my honest opinion and I try to include photos if possible.
