5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING READ! 16 January 2015

Wow! This story is amazing. I was drawn right in from the beginning and didn’t want to put it down. It is a breath of fresh air to read something different, not what everyone else is writing about. Phantom 2.0 is a story unlike any other.  I love the strong characters and all their dynamics. Every time I would think I had it all figured out I was thrown for a loop. I love the fact that it is not predictable and keeps you guessing all the way to the end. Leah’s writing style and storyline was excellent. I felt like I was there with the characters and could visualize each scene with ease.  At the end I was left wondering who in Deja’s life is bad, who is good and maybe there are ones who are both. I find I have a love/hate relationship with some of the characters.  Author Leah D.W. leaves us on such a cliffhanger that it makes us want to beg her for more, and hurry. :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Review 2 February 2015

Format: Kindle Edition
I received this book from the author, Leah D. W., and from Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock.
The story starts out with a magical fight between brother and sister. They are fighting over a baby that will be powerful enough to rule when she is grown. Then twenty years later the reader starts following Deja. Deja is working in a bar and it starts off giving the reader an idea of what the time is like. There is illness as well as drugs and some other more sinister practices. As the story progresses Deja is clearly not human, and while it has benefits like immunity from the illness running rampant through the city it also has drawbacks that make Deja unhappy about not being human. Deja is out hunting the bad things that have taken over human’s bodies. Deja is determined to try to keep her roommate Jenna safe while keeping what she really is secret from Jenna.

This book was really interesting and a very different take on paranormal. I found it hard to put this book down. I would read this book again. This book is dark and sinister with some violent scenes described but is well worth the time.

I’m giving this book 5 fangs.
4.0 out of 5 stars Original concept 18 January 2015

I really enjoyed this novel! It was very interesting, and intriguing. At the beginning of the book you get a nice little prologue that explains a little of what the story is about, and of how the story came to be. I liked that we got a little back story and we weren't left in the dark.

One thing I did feel was that the characters purposes were under-explained. There wasn't really a reason for telling Deja's story and I feel like her story just kept getting pushed back. I would have liked it if the whole purpose of her telling the story was made known early in the book.

Another thing I didn't like about this book was that things happened very suddenly, and I feel like the author could have elaborated a little more on how things developed and such. I quite like the ending. It leaves much to the imagination, and it's what actually made me want to keep reading.

Nevertheless, I still enjoyed getting to know the different characters and how the story went. It was nice to see the character development between some of the characters that you didn't even think were important to the story.

Leah was able to spring a lot of surprises my way. I really liked that there were a lot of occurrences that I didn't expect. and it kept me interested. The book lacked back story, and despite the fact that I do want to read the next book, I'll be giving it 4 out of 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Let me just say that I LOVED Phantom 2 17 January 2015

I received an ARC of this book. :)

Let me just say that I LOVED Phantom 2.0! I was intrigued from the very beginning. I wanted to know more about Deja and her past and the mysterious Kyra. The storyline is full of interesting characters and keeps you turning the pages. Deja's best friend Jenna is a huge contrast to Deja and I found myself wishing I could be both of their friends. Leah D.W. does a great job at writing a story that I couldn't get enough of. She keeps you guessing about who's friend and who's foe. I could never guess what was going to happen next. When I was done with the book I wanted to immediately ask when the next book will be out so I can read more of Deja's amazing journey.
