It's always disappointing when a much anticipated book turns out to be less than expected. This happened for me with this story. I love the Phanta City series. It is hilarious. I've already re-read a couple of the books. I keep anticipating various cast members stories and I guess marginally a redux of a previous book from others' points of view is a bit of a sore point with me at the moment. I had been expecting an entirely new story albeit I also hoped it was between different series characters. I found these two kind of boring. I didn't feel that spark that usually feel pinging between two men.
Maybe most important l didn't find myself laughing out loud at the names and ridiculous situations that the MCs found themselves in. Their banter didn't send me into fits of giggles. While I did smile on occasion. I'm so used to being totally entertained by the story, I just am having a hard time accepting that this actually happened with my two premier ladies of fun filled gay romances.
Maybe if these had been favored characters the outcome would have been different. Maybe my indifference is because I didn't really care for these two men. In their hunt to find the beautiful Sy Wren the two end up finding each other. The best parts of the story was when other residents of Phanta City made appearances. I hope I didn't discourage you to read this book. It just wasn't as enjoyable to me as I'd anticipated.

The Phanta City series has been a great read. Each book seems to get better and better. Really hope there will be more books in this series.

As usual, Stormy has another killer romance-mystery under her belt, and I will wait with baited breath for the next installment. Get with it Stormy and Lynn.

I loved Van's story. I wanted him to find someone. The twist of who Fang really was, was great. After Van's horrible date with Sy Wren, it was nice to see him find his own happiness.
