I've purposefully refrained from posting a review, until I gave the treatment plan from the book, which I've been following for 3 menstrual cycles a chance to work. Without going into too much detail, my cycle was irregular and I was exhausted. I'd been suffering multiple monthly migraines with visual aura for 2 years. 3 months on this regime and 3 months migraine with aura free, with a normal cycle again.
I think every girl should get this book at puberty now, frankly. Great, evidence based medical knowledge.
I found this book very interesting and easy to follow. I implemented a few of Lara's suggestions such as Vitex. She also suggested that it would take about 3 months for the return of a period. Lo and behold 3 months later i had my first period in 3 years! So thank you Lara!
Would recommend the book for anyone who has any problems with their periods or anyone wanting to learn more about periods and their relation to your health generally.
Update to my review: this book is so good that I've decided to also buy the paperback copy (previously had kindle version)!
I would have liked to see more information about which recommended supplements are okay while breastfeeding as I’m not sure what I can actually take. The book doesn’t cover mood changes that coincide with ovulation.
I could honestly say that this book changed my life! Many thanks to the author. I wish I had such doctor near me.
It will become particularly important for girls as they start ovulating regularly.
Really impressed with its lay out and content.
I will return to update the review when I've finished the book.
Speedy delivery and well packaged.
