Revolving around the main character, Jason. The books focus on his new life in the town of Perigord. After strange things happen, Jason gets involved and discovers secrets not known to anyone.
I have never been so keen to read than when reading this series. I felt disappointed – almost angry – when having to put the books down. Between the fantastic story line and excellent characters, I never wanted to leave the comfort of my bed reading. The main character, Jason, had one of the best character developments in a book I have ever read. Just his character alone allowed for an engaging story; when combined with the various plot points and jaw dropping twists the story really shined.
The only problem I had with the series was the ending of the final book. While I will not expand on what happened, I will say that the ending alone could be the catalyst that forms another instalment in the series – even though it was the ending of the final book.
All round, this series was an excellent read and kept me on my toes the entire way through. I would recommend this book to anyone even slightly interested in reading. The story was amazing and the characters made it better than it ever could be. My draw dropped multiple times and at some points I had to step back due the events that occurred.
5/5 Stars! Amazing Books!
Characters with great depth that you care about.
Ripping storyline that had me guessing what would happen to the end.
So glad to hear at www.marc-lindsay.com that there will be a sequel. Hurry up and finish it Marc Lindsay.
Would highly recommend this to ALL readers.

However, I felt it rushed at some points, specifically the training scene.
I read the kindle edition and there were a lot of spelling and grammar errors which could have a lot to do with the kindle translation as I've seen it in loads of other kindle books.
All in all, it was a good read and Marc Lindsay is a very promising author. I feel there is room for his writing to evolve(Terry Pratchett's early books were a very different style to his later more popular books)and will continue to read his future books.
Jason is a strong protagonist who is equally matched by the cleverly written Selene. Everyone I've spoken to can see this being a blockbuster movie.
Great to hear that the sequel 'Ghost of Perigord' is finished and being edited.
Absolutely loved the ending too!!!!! Hope #2 is coming out soon!!!!!
Although aimed at the teenage market it is a good story for everyone no matter their age.
Bring on the next book.
