Touching and raw story of survivalReviewed in the United States on 19 October 2019
Lee tells a raw story of survival. Both her husbands survival from a landmine injury while war reporting overseas; but the survival of herself and her family.
Lee captures every emotion in...the book...perfectlyReviewed in the United States on 17 July 2012
The first story made me laugh so loud that my husband could hear me through his headphones with music blaring. Other stories made me wistful and some made me cry. Lee captures those daily moments in ways that so few can--it's impossible to not become utterly engrossed in every story she tells. I don't know how Lee keeps all those balls in the air, all the time, for so long...but she hasn't dropped one yet. You will LOVE this book!
It's meReviewed in the United States on 6 October 2012
I read this book for a book club, and one of the questions asked was "Which of the personal stories could you relate to?" Everyone in the group could relate to at least one of the stories in the book, and I could relate to several. It is wonderful to find that in some experiences you are not alone in dealing with them. It is like talking to one of your girlfriends and receiving confirmation that it is going to be OK.
Ok, not outstanding.Reviewed in the United States on 29 January 2015
It was ok, not outstanding, but i did enjoy reading it. I expected her to tell more about her husbands progress with the brain recovery, but she did not.
Perfect.Reviewed in the United States on 16 February 2015
This is one of my very favorite books. L. Woodruff is a very talented writer and her work here is inspiring.
