When you loose someone, whether through death or estrangement, there is a period of time where the individual grieves, that time being different for each individual. The "alone time" is necessary, to put ones thoghts and emotions in their proper perspective, to come to terms with changes in the person's life and how others are now perceived.
This book has the two situations, one of death and another of estrangement, with two individuals that are now starting to realize that they need human contact on a different level. It is an interesting story, but I wonder if in the future years, whether the HEA portrayed would last.
