He also developed the "Music Marketing 101" course at Berkleemusic, the online continuing education division of Berklee College of Music. Bob is an active musician, workshop leader, visual artist, actor, and former music magazine editor who educates creative people how to get exposure, connect with fans, and increase their incomes through their artistic passions. He also teaches and performs improv comedy and co-wrote "The Improv Comedy Musician" with Laura Hall, the longtime pianist and musical director of Whose Line Is It Anyway? Since 1995 Bob has published "The Buzz Factor" ezine, one of the first music tips email newsletters in existence. Not what I was hopingReviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 February 2019
It's a book of motivational quotes in relation to being creative. I bought it so my wife could get ideas on how to be more creative as opposed to telling her reasons any encouragement to be more creative. I was expecting things like creativity suggestions, e.g. origami, pottery, wood carving, drawing, painting, cooking, singing, dance, writing, hair dressing, etc. Then a little bit of info on how to get started or the benefits of that style of expression.
you need this - so many good ideas!Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 September 2017
A snippet for all occasions - if you're struggling to make your way through the artistic fug of self promotion, you need this - so many good ideas!
Bob Baker Walks the Walk and Talks the TalkReviewed in the United States on 7 July 2017
This is another excellent and informative book by Bob Baker. This is not just a book some guy wrote trying to sell something, Bob Baker walks the walk and lives the methods and ways of promoting and building the fan base. Everything he talks about works, the only problem for most of us is actually applying the Principles, even if it's just a few of them.
