A Romance story with almost nonexistent romance.Reviewed in the United States on 25 July 2012
This was a well written novella and although I felt the characters were likable, they were also somewhat flat. The author didn't do a lot of character building within the confines of the story. As for the romance aspect, all I can say is "what romance?"... I'm not sure that writing a few hurried lines into the end of a book qualifies as "sparks flying" and romance. Perhaps your ideas are different. In any event, I understand this was the third and final book in the trilogy but I can't, for the life of me, understand why the author would market the final book and not the first in the series. I picked this one up off the top 100 free list and although I enjoyed it, I'm not sure I found it compelling enough to entice me to purchase the first two books in the series; after all, I already know the ???ending??? This novella does provide a quick diversion but it also leaves you with a "Wha?-it's over?-yikes!-I thought it was just getting started", sort of feeling. It might have been better having that type of reaction after the first and second books, not the third and final one.

Another fun read!Reviewed in the United States on 20 July 2012
Ms. Edwards has written another delightful and entertaining story. I have read all 3 of the "West Coast Girlz" series and loved them all. In PARTY GIRL, we are introduced to the third member of the best friends trio, Casey Roberts. Casey is a no-nonsense independent thinker. Her personality suits her profession well--she's a lawyer, but for once she wants to let her hair down and have fun. She's hoping that the masquerade ball hosted by her friend will be just the ticket. After all, no one will know who she is, but life is never that simple. She has no idea that her world is about to be turned upside down by a mysterious masked man. Can she keep a level head or will she be swept off her feet by the romantic stranger? If you're looking for a quick escape, pick up PARTY GIRL. It will put a smile on your face.

A fun, romantic readReviewed in the United States on 21 July 2012
I've read all of the West Coast Girlz series and loved them all. The latest, Party Girl, didn't disappoint. Casey Roberts is a serious, responsible attorney. She's attracted to hunky judge Chase Hamilton, but he doesn't "see" her outside of the courtroom. A masquerade party gives Casey the chance to step out of her "good-girl" persona and become a party girl for one night. Chase too wants to let loose from his sober judge persona. I love masquerade party scenes. When Casey and Chase finally let go, sparks fly. I loved it.

Quick pg readReviewed in the United States on 30 May 2020
It needed more heat in this book. It was very PG.would have been nice if the book kept going with the story.
Great short story!Reviewed in the United States on 9 November 2012
I'm a huge fan of Ms. Edwards' work and couldn't wait for this last short story in the West Coast Girlz series to be released. And I wasn't disappointed. Casey was the perfect blend of smart and sassy, while Chase was a man any woman would chase after (any woman except Casey, that is). The story is well-told and fast paced. I also loved seeing the characters from the other stories in the series! Congrats to Ms. Edwards for another great story.
