** spoiler alert ** I started this new series from a new author, similar to other ways I find new authors. I usually find them through Instagram recommendation from other book lovers, or via a daily email that I get about free or discounted books on Sale.
Sinner, the first book in The Hades Squad got my attention in one of my emails. It was a free Amazon book, and after reading the little description and seeing the Hot guy on the cover I gave it a chance.
This book is HOT! First you have a alpha male, who is military. He's a Navy Seal. He latterly falls out of the sky into a tree while, Bri is in Alaska attempting to edit a book with an Author she despises. This girl is a strong chick! And actually rescues the big strong seal out of the tree. I love that the characters are both strong individuals. They don't need each other, and while they fight their chemistry, they eventually fall into bed. Thanks in part to a blizzard that blows in fast and trap's them in this remote cabin with no power.
While they each have their own struggles to deal with, they attempt to work on these issue through the book, while figuring out their feelings for each other.
I really liked the fact that you have this big strong alpha man, who took such a possessive claim on the leading female character. It's almost the opposite of what life gives us, with men more afraid to commit and admit their feelings towards a women. Sinner is not afraid to admit to himself and her that he's head over heals for her!
The character development was great, you really got to know these two plus others within the Hades Squad which leads you up to other books in the series. This is also a story that has more then hot steamy sex scenes. This book actually has some mystery and intrigue that helps draw you into the story.
This book, and the other in the series could be stand alone books, but I recommend reading them in order. I highly recommend this book.

A paratrooper in a pear tree...what a treat!Reviewed in the United States on 3 January 2016
Well this was the best free book ever! I haven't read anything by this author previously but I really enjoyed this story. I believe I will have to continue reading this series. If you like alpha males, you'll really like this book. It's action packed has enough romance, angst, and OMG sex to keep you hooked. I found it hard put down. The story starts with Destiny's trip to Alaska to track down an errant author, who apparently has writer's block. She gets snowed in by a freak storm and when she looks out the window she sees someone hanging from a pear tree (I've never heard of pear trees growing in Alaska). Someone (Linc, aka Sinner) has parachuted in and gotten tangled in the tree. She goes out to get him down and manages to drag him inside. Thus begins the hot love story of Linc and Destiny. He's possessive and smitten from the start. She's wary due to a troubled past starting with her father abducting her at a very young age. She doesn't trust him and is very attracted to him at the same time. Can you say conflicted? It's amazing how many side issues the author manages to weave into the story and still remain plausible. Definitely a must read.

SinnerReviewed in the United States on 23 August 2016
Destiny is preparing to edit a difficult author’s book, when she gets stranded in her cabin during a blizzard with a paratrooper that mis-landed in the storm. Linc (Sinner) is instantly determined to make her his for the duration, but he can tell it will take some persuading to get Destiny on board with his plans. Fun, quick read! Destiny comes off as a bit of ditz in the beginning, but she improves along the way. Sinner, I liked from the beginning—but then again, what’s not to like. This was a little heavy on the sex scenes, for me (seemed to be getting busy every time they turned around), but others may like that. Can’t wait to meet the rest of Sinner’s SEAL squad!

Offal...Reviewed in the United States on 21 September 2017
Releasing this book was a sin. It was bad across the board, storyline to characters. Destiny starts out as one person and morphs into a caricature of herself. A Playboy pinup and nympho chew toy. I thought Linc was going to be a tough alpha male and he just turns out to be a creepy sex-fiend with a side of pervert. His character made my skin crawl. The story contains no plot except cheap porn. Cannot believe Destiny is supposed to be an editor. Quit the story after Destiny tells Linc his friend is a grabby chauvinistic pig. Did NOT want to meet the rest of this cast. In a nutshell, this offal was waste of time and money.
Better than expectedReviewed in the United States on 15 September 2019
I didn't think I was gonna like the book at first because it seemed cliche. But, as the story went on it developed more and was more than just sex. There were some parts that were pretty unbelievable and smutty but they weren't enough to make me stop reading. I was disappointed in the last chapter because it felt rushed. I'll read the next book and maybe more details will develop for a bigger picture.
