Where do I start with this brilliant story. As always Kindle Alexander did not disappoint. This is the story of Kellus and Arik and how despite everything thrown at them they managed to overcome it. I loved the way Kindle brought all the characters together and how the story was equal parts, angst, true love and hot sex.
The supporting characters that are Arik's family, including Gage his cousin and his husband Trent (The Current Between Us) and the rest of his family are hilarious. We also get to see Tristan and Dylan ( Secret) and Colt and Jace (Double Full). I absolutely FLOVE the fact that we get to see glimpses of these characters from previous books. I didn't like how John, Kellus's ex's story ended but, it is what needed to happen so I became ok with it. :)
This book has everything I value when I read, great writing, good editing, and a story that makes me want to read it again and again and tell all my friends about it.
Well done Kindle and I cant wait for what you bring us next.

This is my first Kindle Alexander book and I loved it. There’s a lot of story in this book. It’s an m/m love story with a lot of soul searching and personal growth.

Kellus’ story is sad, his transformation and growth throughout the story is so great to read. I loved Kellus’ character from the beginning. He’s such a sweet and kind hearted man, talented artist, who is struggling financially as well as emotionally. His ex has left him with some serious issues to deal with, leaving him feeling unworthy of love or relationships. It was clear to me, where the story was going, the anticipation and build towards that first moment Kellus meets Arik, had me glued to this book. Their attraction was instant; the challenges are difficult for both of them as they head down this new path. It’s a struggle for Kellus as he learns to love, trust and let go of his past as well as figure out how to fit everything in his life; work, love, family, old friends.

I love how Arik was so persistent but patient with him showing him what true love looks and feels like, showing him he’s deserving and worthy of the love he is giving. Which is also new to Arik as he’s never been in a committed relationship but he allows his feelings to guide him. Kellus has some serious obstacles for him to get over; it’s sweet how Arik never gives up on him/them.

It’s a rollercoaster ride for a most of this book and so worth the ride. It’s also funny and light in parts, which is a great break from the heaviness in it. Arik’s cousin Gage is a great character. I love their playful antics.

This is a stand-alone but after searching, I found that there is a book with some of the characters in this one. Gage and Trent’s story is told in The Current Between Us that I will go back and read. I have no doubt there’s a great story there as well.

Painted On My Heart by Kindle Alexander is an Epic story from them. The storylines are right out of the real world (you are lucky if one of them has not touched your life). Painted On My Heart is connected to some of their other books so We get to catch up with other characters we already know, but it can be read as a standalone.
Arick Layne is a power to be reckoned with, even in the families’ Layne Empire. His cousin, Gage Synclair has been in a loving back & forth with Arick their whole lives. But a few years ago, he got one up by giving Arick a work of art from one of his lesser known clients, Kellus Hardin.
Kellus Hardin is a wonderful multi-media artist, in whose life he is now left facing the truth of his reality. He does not see how anything but his art and health can matter.
Arick and Kellus are finally in the same city, Dallas. They both are dynamic men who are set in their sexuality. For Arick, he feels he must start over every time Kellus leaves him. Kellus just cannot believe or allow the things Arick can bring to his life.
"The stroke of midnight was coming, but he would allow himself the fairytale until the very last chime."
Again, Kindle Alexander tells the best stories and Painted on My Heart is soul touching. Kindle Alexander again gives their readers the story voice they expect. I did not see the twists in Painted on My Heart, you are so surprised. They lead to the angst on several different levels that are so heart touching and a story that no one has told. It is sure going to surprise a few too --in a good way. Oh, my goodness-- I will never get over this story-- I cried and not since "Always" have I done this. Give this story a read, You will not be disappointed.
Thanks Kindle Alexander & Good Writing

WOW, this is honestly a beautiful love story, but it definately has its full of steamy scenes as well. I truly loved everything about this book, the plot was realistic, swoon worthy and heartbreaking all in one and had me glued for its entirety.

This is the story of Kellus, an up and coming indie artist, and Arik, a hotel developer and his number one fan. Kellus is struggling to make a living as an artist but is supported by a mentor Cage, apart from building his career he is dealing with regular devestating challenges involving his previous long-term partner, John, these are crushing and effect him both personally and professionally. Arik doesn't do relationships, doesn't understand he arraction of them, until he connects eyes with Kellus across a hotel lobby, now he is chasing what he has always hidden from. The connection between these men is instantaneous, Arik wants to save Kellus but does he want to be saved?

One of the best books I have read this year.
