Reagan is the one who got away - or should I say the one I drove away? Now, four years later, she’s back to manage the gym where I train. Seeing her everyday is a distraction I can’t afford. I’m so close to achieving the big payoff I’ve been working for. Nothing’s going to keep me from winning this belt - not even her.

Noah is a MMA fighter ,this has was always his dream. He has also been in love with Reagan the daughter of his coach and he broke her heart broke her heart when he let her go so she could follow her college dreams and he turned his focus on his career. Years later she has returned and now works at her father's gym. The chemistry between them is still undeniable though Noah cannot afford to allow this to become a distraction as eh prepares for the biggest fight of his life. The big question is fighting more important than love? Can he afford to let go of this second chance at love? Loved it!!!

After reading Drive I had to go back & see where it all began.
Noah "No No" Nolan has always wanted to be a fighter, it's his sole focus & priority. He sacrifices everything in the hope of achieving his dreams & will do whatever Coach Jimmy Collins tell him to do.
Reagan Collins is Jimmy's youngest daughter, but she is also Noah's first love.
Believing that he has no future to offer Reagan & that he is holding her back, he sets her free but breaks both their hearts in the process.
Reunited four years later but can all be forgiven.

Punched by Jacob Chance is a second chance romance. Noah Nolan is a MMA fighter who is training for the Light-Heavyweight Championship. Reagan Collins, is the girl he said goodbye to 4 years prior. She's now walked back into his life as the new General Manager of her fathers gym - the same one in which Noah trains.
From the start of this book I was pleasantly surprised. Within stories of this genre you can be left gasping for breath, usually from something dramatic happening that could possibly tear the characters apart. With this book, you're left gasping for breath in a delicious way. I fell in love with both characters equally and thoroughly enjoyed the journey we were taken on from this author. Who doesn't love a tough guy with a great heart?
This is my favourite of Jacob's books and this style of writing from him, as it is a little different to others in his catalogue. He definitely has a gift for keeping the reader wrapped in the story until the end.
You will not be disappointed by hitting one-click. I count the days until his next book.

Punched is a second chance MMA sports romance surrounding the lives of Noah Nolan and Reagan Collins. Four years ago, the two seemed to be hopelessly in love, however Noah was working towards progressing with his fighting and Reagan was heading for college. Not wanting to hold her back he lets her go breaking her heart in the process.
Four years later and Noah is working towards championship status and being trained hard by Reagans father Jimmy at the gym. To his surprise, the one that got away is back after qualifying with a business degree to help run the gym is none other than Reagan. She seems to act indifferent to him and he can’t afford distractions with the most important fight that’s imminent.
Noah is a strong alpha as you would expect from a MMA fighter, but he has this deep sensitive romantic side to him making him totally swoon worthy. I had a feeling there had to be more to him giving up Reagan to just solely focus on his fighting then what we are led to believe. He seemed to have some hidden feelings about his life growing up that he kept well hidden. Reagan is beautiful, intelligent, and full of sass not to mention strong, which probably is more to do with being surrounded by fighters at her dad’s gym through her growing up. Being around each other again certainly brings the old feelings for each other back to the surface showing they never really went away.
“No matter how much I miss you, we won’t happen.”
“Everything is riding on this fight and I can’t afford to blow this opportunity.”
Throughout this book there is chemistry and passion between the two even if they do try to deny it, but it’s there waiting to ignite fully. The story is told in dual point of view which is always a favourite of mine. What I enjoyed is the flashbacks to four years ago when things were so right but went drastically wrong to the build-up of present day. It’s clear they are made for each other but too stubborn to admit it.
One year ago, this author made his debut. Eighth book along and the writing has gone from strength to strength. The author has a way with words that reels you in from the first page right to the end. The creation of likeable characters, captivating storylines, and the ability to always throw in a surprise or two makes me keep wanting to read what’s offered again and again. The indie world is a particularly competitive market but with a diverse ability to tell a good story there’s something for everyone. Kudos to the author for another great story.

... is my first book by Jacob Chance and I loved it! The characters were so real to me

This is my first book by Jacob Chance and I loved it!
The characters were so real to me; I really like it when I get a feel for them; feel their emotions and conflicting feelings of right and wrong and self-doubt. It was simply delicious. Noah is sexy and hot; he says such heart stopping, sweet and sensual words. Reagan is the perfect mix of sweet and innocent with a dash of self-preserving strength, that made me just instantly love her, too.
After meeting and falling in love at seventeen, Noah breaks Reagan's heart; he has his reasons; reasons I wanted to punch him for! Four years later they are forced into seeing each other daily as he trains at her Dad's gym; the gym she now works in! It's hard for both of them to deal with their feelings, because they are just as strong as before.
The angst and tension is fantastic, I didn't want it to end and the writing flows wonderfully. I will be looking up more of Jacob Chance's books.

*REVIEWING FOR ROCK HARD ROMANCE*
'Mixed Martial Arts has become my passion,my obsession,my salvation and someday it will be my redemption'(Noah)
*ARC Received-and bought to add to own collection*
Every so often I will begin a story, and within the first few lines,I get the feeling that it will be something great....and Punched, for me,is one of those stories.Told in DUAL POV's we get Noah-upcoming MMA fighter, who is 5 weeks away from a shot at the Title fight that could either make or break his career-and Reagan, who he has history with, his trainer's daughter-the one he let go in order to focus on his fighting career-who's returned to manage her dad's gym.
I loved how the story developed, the MMA side was well written...the DUAL POV's gives us the past (4 years previous) and present, how their relationship built, there are,of course some HOT and HEAVY moments between Noah and Reagan, some angst, and emotion with a little twist along with some humor (a cameo from Nick -who was in Penalty- still as hilarious) and Moira,Reagan's best friend also adds to some funny moments.
Will Noah win the Fight....and get the Girl??
You'll have to read it for yourselves to find out!

This is my first Jacob Chance book so I went in not knowing what to expect. I've read a few MMA romances before so I sort of knew what I'd be in for. I was hooked quite quickly into the book. I loved the characters and the dynamic storyline it flowed at a great pace and I was sucked right into the story and the next thing I knew I was turning the last few pages.
A captivating story, well fleshed out and relatable characters and probably one of the most enjoyable MMA books I've read in a long time. I will definitely be buying more of Jacob Chance's books!

For the most part, this was enjoyable

For the most part, this was an enjoyable read. A second chance love story without too much drama. There were flashbacks to explain their relationship as teens and I liked Reagan and Noah together then. The storyline wasn't anything new, nevertheless, I enjoyed it. I wouldn't have minded a few extra pages giving more insight into some of the things going on in Reagan and Noah's heads.
