my essential posts and comments
I do wish G+ wasn't going to shut down! But I am happy that I have been wise enough to copy in Word many of my posts and comments. As a nice result, about 300 !! pages have gotten accumulated -- full of my wisdom and sincerity. The stuff is virtually ready to be landed on my Amazon Kindle shelf. There will be some introduction -- my short G+ story with some postmortem opinions, reviews, observations. That piece will be followed by a cut-up mix of everything -- the things organized without any particular order in terms of dates or collections' names. Just a spontaneously streaming consciousness. The rapid flows of the separate passages. You can imagine what a great number of themes and subjects are gonna be included in the book – serious, funny, weird, crazy, life-asserting, encouraging, sarcastic, spiritual, political, psychological, philosophical, surrealistic, psychedelic…you name it! You can even find such outstanding things like my letter to Jeff Bezos, Vitalik Buterin, a poem addressed to Donald Trump and other eye-popping material. Well, I am not here to brag but I have been a prominent voice right from the start. :) So, I am really impatient to launch this project. I love it very much!
Yes, there is some humor about the title! But no resentment about the network’s suicide, nor any offence involved! On the contrary, it's gonna be my grateful tribute to the network! Truly it's been one of the most prized and rewarding parts of my life! And I am very glad that one part of the G+ spirit in my person should be preserved on Amazon for the future generations!
This book was never meant to have an advent into this World! In no way could it find a place in my writer’s schedule or imagination! Before I arrived at the G+ destination in 2014, I had never had any social networking experience. And actually, I was not going to have one.
It all started with my poetry and vanity. First came my epic poem – ‘The USSR-Russia Transit Train Mysterious Soul-Searching Ride.’ Then I shot eight footages of me reciting the stuff willing to land those on YouTube – driven by my vanity and narcissism. Google required me to register a G+ account to upload the videos. OK, no problem, I did that! And this is how my strange five-year long networking addiction got gloriously started!
Where it would lead me – honestly, I had no clue at the time. I was innocently delivering the large chunks of my consciousness onto the platform. Very soon I was confronted by a realization that I couldn’t live a day without my presence there. And the daily dose was apparently growing to feed the habit! And there were millions folks like me from all over the World! All hooked up on that social mingling drug! Ah, I says, come what may! And I just kept posting and posting…commenting and commenting.
