What can i say. I think i can see where the author was going with this book but she just did not pull it off. Nadine gave way like a wet paper bag and James had absolutely no redeeming qualities at all. His inner thoughts revolve around his dick, that's pretty much it. I found the time line hard to follow, one minute they are talking about last night but in the same scene it states she moved in weeks ago.
It was just off for me. The whole over the top alpha thing was border line psychotic. I don't know a great deal about college football being an Australian and all but the whole money concept and flash cars and strippers thing seemed wrong, i do get this is fiction, but i prefer my fiction a little believable.
I find it hard to believe that this is not a debut novel.
I gave it two stars which i am thinking is generous. One for the cover and one for the premises. It had so much potential it just was executed poorly, i highly doubt i will read again from this author.
