In terms of the content this book provides on the subject of gold and its potential upside as an investment class, I’d say it's all pretty good.
It talks about everything from gold’s correlation to other asset classes to how to invest in it, where to keep it, how to avoid scams, and so on. All of that information is undoubtedly valuable for investors — beginners and professionals alike.
I am, however, dropping down to four stars because I felt the writing could be improved upon in various places. Specifically, I thought a lot of the sentences in the introduction read strangely. Oddly enough, I thought it improved after that, however. Maybe someone else wrote it. I’m not sure; I didn’t go back and check.
Anyway, overall, it’s a decent read. Just get through that introduction, and it should be fairly smooth sailing from there.

Good introduction to goldReviewed in the United States on 25 February 2021

Great book for people who are thinking of investing in gold. Overly informative, I feel this book spells out nicely all the positives for gold trading (though it should be called investing) but not necessarily all the pit-falls of gold either. Personally, gold is something more of an ornamental investment, not something that will make tons of money. Yes, a small percentage of an individual's portfolio should be held in gold, jewelry I prefer, but as an investment that will some day mature and be sold, traded away, not so good. Collect gold coins (these if purchased properly can actually yield great wealth over time), little gold bars, etc.; it is fun and impressive. But as an investment, gold over all is perhaps the worst.

I don’t have gold in my investment portfolio yet, so I thought I would check out this book. It turns out, gold isn’t just for the rich. It can be considered a safe haven in a volatile market and in this highly digital economy. This book offers a step-by-step guide to getting started investing in gold (even if you don’t have any background in investing). You also learn how to invest in gold (with as little as a $100!), How to store your gold, how to tell if it’s real, ways to protect yourself from scammers, and much more. Basically, this book is what you need when you want to start investing in gold and learn its ins and outs.

A informative book that offers a cogent explanation on how investing in precious metals as gold is the way to go to beat inflation, and to reduce the risks associated with investments (don't put all your eggs in one basket). Write over 7 chapters, the book is an interesting read that provides step-by-step instruction on how to invest in Gold. the mistakes to avoid, calculating the rate of return, taking the tax into consideration, and how to protect yourself against gold scams. The bonus section on how to sell silver is equally important. Highly recommended.
Good intro book on precious metals investing.Reviewed in the United States on 23 January 2021
I discovered that gold can be a great hedge against inflation and a volatile stock market. What I liked most about this book was that it did a good job of explaining how to avoid getting scammed. I found the read to be informative. It takes any novice precious metals investor through a step-by-step process for acquiring the shiny stuff.
