This product works as intended. I bought it for my wife while she cooks (She loves watching TV shows while cooking) and it's generous length means it can be bent around in any direction to be seen. The clamp is plastic and feels like it could break. I would highly recommend (as the manual suggests) bending the device with two hands close together and don't let the clamp take any of the strain of the movement. At full reach the phone can bounce around after being touched but otherwise still. The 'neck' can be a little difficult to maneuver but it never bends on its own. We have only tried phablets in it so I cannot comment on devices that weigh more.
