Most beautifully illustrated version of Lear’s classic poem3 November 2018 - Published on Amazon.com
“The Owl and the Pussycat” by Edward Lear is a favorite children’s poem of ours and this beautifully illustrated version by Jan Brett is a classic which should be in every home library. Brett’s gorgeous pictures jump off the page and take the reader into the poem. The illustrations are bright and colorful, captivating for children with a Caribbean-inspired theme. We have read books of “The Owl and the Pussycat” by other illustrators, but none holds a candle to Jan Brett.

I bought this for my daughter who is forty years old. I used to read this to her every night before she went to bed along with other loved books ...I thought she would love a copy....

Beautiful illustrations and story. This is a must have for my grand-daughter. She already loves the story/pictures and she is 14 months old.

We had the book and tape set when my kids were little. My grown daughter missed the song, so she searched and found it here. The book is read as a song with a Caribbean accent. It has a catchy beat. Although it came on cassette, she quickly ripped it to her IPhone!
