HOW WOULD IT FEEL TO TURN AWAY BUSINESS BECAUSE YOU HAVE TOO MANY CUSTOMERS WANTING TO BUY?
We would all love to be so highly in demand that clients chase us, not the other way round. With numerous successful ventures behind him, entrepreneur and bestselling author Daniel Priestley understands how to get buyers' attention. This book shows you how to build a business and a brand that people flock to.
LEARN THE RECIPE FOR BUSINESS SUCCESS
In Oversubscribed, he reveals the 7 principles for creating demand that outstrips supply. Implement the techniques in this book and you can:
- Carve out your own market as others struggle to compete
- Win 3 months worth of clients in a cluster rather than one-at-a-time
- Build a "Campaign Driven Enterprise" with constant innovation
- Attract premium quality buyers by becoming industry-famous
- Grow your profits by charging a "de-commoditized" price
- Use campaigns to win clients quickly and build a lifestyle business
- Build a lean, high-performance team who can execute your strategy for being oversubscribed
Read Oversubscribed to transform your organizations' outdated mindset and learn the business strategy that will generate more buyers than you can handle, even in a crowded marketplace. --This text refers to the hardcover edition.

written by one of the most inspired Australian disruptors I know Daniel Priestley- OS sets out the process FRAMEWORK of the why, how and what of-WHY people who love the entrepreneurial spirit- leverage and scale that spirit for others to share and become over TIME raving fans. The process of over subscribed gives investors and founders the real value which global markets are seeking value from. This great read offers insights as to the what factor as to the whys and why less than 1/20 restaurants offers what I call the buzz vibration and value factor. Its the buzz 'over subscribe factor' brings customers back as raving fans and set them apart.
This single book is a today a BUZZ favorite classic which is a MUST for all startups or intending micropreneurs who seek their time back.

How on earth a business or self help book can make you cry?! I’m a slow reader and I finished Oversubscribed in 2 days (it would normally take me at least 5-7 days!) Not because it was an emotional book but somehow it really moves you deep down, maybe I got related to his examples a lot..
I absolutely love the way Daniel Priestley writes.. it’s very easy to follow however the ideas are very big. It all makes sense however you would never think like that before reading it. The examples he gives are so real and true but you wouldn’t figure it out by yourself..
I love his analogies and as he said I feel like I know him very well!!
Thank you so so much for sharing all these ideas with us. It was worth a lot.
I found it inspiring and motivating. I do admit that it does not cover details but I also think that it would not be inspirational if it was because most details would not relate to my context. Having a general idea and a few simple examples was more than enough to engage imagination and think how I could implement this strategy.
I particularly liked chapters about being different, sharing your philosophy and putting the emphasis on remarkable delivery. Campaign driven enterprise was great to read but I was not able to draft the entire campaign in my head and will certainly need to speak to someone with a bit more experience - I think it will be easier for those who's businesses are already running and have got a fair understanding of their market behaviours. The part about the team building was more of a reminder of what roles need to be in place but yet again I see this as a general rule.
All in all I think it is an interesting piece of reading that is more of a guide that shows direction rather than giving you ready made solutions - and for that I really value this book a lot. It certainly highlighted elements that I have not yet considered - like timing of campaigns and "oversubscription" safety margins.
I think that if you like me at the moment are considering how to get your new product out there - it is a great food for thought.
The real issue that I had with the book is that it's poorly written. The overly conversational tone of the writing, coupled with some blatantly obvious grammatical errors (the author appears to not understand the difference between 'hysterical' and 'historical') add to the general feeling that the whole thing was trotted out in half a day in a half-hearted attempt to make passive income from a book.
I was particularly impressed the strategy around designing and implementing a marketing campaign , it was structured and clear.Daniel clearly cares about seeing people prosper and has written to be understood not just for the sake of words.
Overall a brilliant book that come highly recommended and should be read numerous times in my view.
Read it, change your thinking, your trajectory, your business and your future!
Think of it as a summary of the psychology of reaching your customer. Most marketing books are for marketing professionals. This one is for the actual entrepreneur.
The principles in this book will be valuable to a business person long after Twitter and Facebook have had their day.
Can't recommend highly enough!
