Contains sexually-explicit scenes, adult language, and is recommended for readers over 18.

She’s all work.

Fifteen years ago, Natalie Simmons reinvented herself with a single goal: to earn her father’s respect. The frivolous, attention-seeking college girl is now a workaholic lawyer on partnership track.
That is, until Sam Danmore shows up.

He’s all play.

He’s gorgeous, famous, arrogant as ever, and can still drench her panties with a look and a grin -- a fact which only reinforces how much she hates him. And wants him.

When an obsessed fan forces Sam into hiding, Natalie has to help him or risk getting caught up in the media frenzy, herself. But her unwanted, yet deepening attraction to him threatens the new life she has built... because Sam has spent the last fifteen years living up to his reputation, and Natalie is still trying to live hers down.

"The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are."

This story follows Workaholic Natalie Simmons, who has lost her way in life... Fighting to fit herself neatly into a "respectable, professional role in life" rather than following her passions, and Sam Danmore, a hot, arrogant, self-centered actor, who has become trapped portraying an image, rather than being himself. Both living lies.

This is the second book I've read by author Julie Jaret, the first being Extreme Close-Up... Let's just say, she didn't disappoint! "Borrowing" Natalie's words, as soon as I started I knew...

"Ah, FΩ©ß. It was going to be a long night."

But, in a pleasurable way... I mean ~ hot, naked actor hijacks your car within the first two chapters... Uhmmm, "shee-it"...

The story flows. Julie Jaret has a way with words, so that dialogue rolls effortlessly off of the character's tongues... Hmm maybe I should've rephrased that, because now my mind is on his tongue &...

"She wanted to trace his perfectly sculpted mouth with her tongue. There were so many perfectly sculpted parts of him she wanted to trace with her tongue. FΩ©ß."

Let's face it, the story is HOT! "Orgasmic meditation" wtf?... Mr google came in handy there lol! and if Sam is assisting, sign me the hell up!... Gym? Yep! Restaurant? Oh, go on then!

Julie Jaret's trademark humour didn't disappoint either "electric clit", "magic peen" *sniggers*... I fully admit to loving dark, angst-ridden reads, but sometimes you need a book that is going to make you cross your legs, lust after the MC and have a giggle!

5.0 out of 5 stars Over Exposed- HOT, SEXY, AND OH SO TEMPTING! 14 October 2014

Julie Jaret does it again! Natalie Simmons has had a MAJOR crush on actor Sam Danmore for many years and a chance meeting when she was 18 years old was not the most ideal. Now 15 years later, while filming a movie in her native Atlanta, she runs into him again when he storms into her car ..... NAKED! Is this a girl's dream come true or what? THAT... depends on your perspective :) Forced to seek shelter with Natalie because of a lust crazed fan, proves to be quite the challenge for our dashing couple... Appearances are not what they seem to be , and while they say that first impressions are always the most lasting ones... I beg to differ! But don't just take my word for it... pick up your copy today and discover Sam and Natalie and the insanity of their lives for yourself!

5.0 out of 5 stars Over Exposed OVER- WORKED my libido. YOWZA! 4 February 2015
By Amanda Clark - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Going into Over Exposed I was a little nervous because Jaret really knocked my socks off with her first novel in this series. Extreme Close-Up. I didn't think she had the power to strike gold twice and now I'm kicking myself for not starting this sooner because she amazed me yet again.

Natalie Simmons was the uptight workaholic lawyer friend to Lisa from the first book. She was always so busy busting her butt to make partner at her father's law firm we didn't see much of her. I didn't know how in the world Jaret would be able to break her out of her work related coma/fog but then she threw in a sexy movie star, one Mr. Sam Danmore and *POOF* you have your smoking gun. When he jumps into her car butt naked as she's heading to the office Natalie is flabbergasted and lost for what to do. Had this been me in the situation and an earlier 2000's Nick Carter I would've gotten pregnant with the quickness. But what happens when your ancient teenage crush is the one who crushed your spirit? That's another story and a brilliant angle to work in this book. Turns out the reason Natalie hates Sam so much is because he was a dick to her 18 year old obsessive self back in the day at an event signing and she won't let herself forget. Too bad Sam isn't as big a dick NOW as he was THEN.

Natalie and Sam are another wonderful couple dreamed up by Mrs. Jaret. I thought Lisa and her young boy toy had chemistry but the pages sizzled when Natalie and Sam got together. With her uptight and carefully controlled lifestyle and Sam's more carefree personality There was no shortage of witty quips and one liners. Not to mention boat loads of sexual chemistry. It was really refreshing to see Natalie let her hair down and actually enjoy herself and not be so stuffy. I worried about her character early on but thankfully Sam was the key to her Pandora's box and thank God for that. This man could melt the Polar Ice Caps with his smile but add in the fact that he tied Natalie to a utility bench and had made an afternoon snack out of her you've got a recipe for WMD's they didn't find in Iraq. Sam was funny, sexy, very charming and actually kind of deep when you looked past the persona he puts on for the cameras. One of the best parts about reading a Julie Jaret book is watching her characters develop not only a deep attraction but also a deep friendship while you're watching them pork. It's very touching and adds depth to the erotic landscape of their foundation.

Over Exposed is another example of how talented Jaret is at story telling. Her characters, plot and formula all work together to create a reading experience you can't forget after you've closed the book on the last page. While the wrap on Extreme Close-up was a little bittersweet the conclusion to Over Exposed concluded in such a girly, squishy, warm gooey feeling sort of way that satisfied my need for a HEA. If you need something with a litte heat and romance full of witty and fun characters you should look no farther than Jaret's books.

4.0 out of 5 stars Unconventional love story 27 February 2015

Over-Exposed follows the story of Natalie. I was intrigued by Natalie's character in the first book of this series so I was excited to get to know her better. I loved her drive and determination. She had one goal in mind and wasn't going to let anything or anyone stand in her way. When a crazy circumstance forces her to make s split second decision, her life is about to change. Enter Sam. Playboy actor with a penchant for trouble. His latest exploit sets of an interesting chain of events that will effect both him and Natalie.

I enjoyed how Natalie stood her ground and didn't let Sam charm her, even though he tried. The ease and comfort they found with the other, despite the unusual circumstances really had me rooting for them. It took some time but when they finally got together, it was hot. You won't look at a treadmill or gym bench the same way again! When push came to shove, it was Sam who stepped up big time. The progression of their relationship allowed them both to become the person they wanted to be. And when Natalie finally stood up for herself against her dad I wanted to jump into my e-reader and give her a high five.

Overall, this was a quick, light and easy read. I finished it in a couple of hours. Julie Jaret touched on all the elements in a boo book that I've come to enjoy. There was a fun couple, a hair of drama, plenty of steam and some humor all wrapped up in a sweet love story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous!! 1 October 2014

Natalie has been fighting to be a partner in the law firm she works in. You would think she is a sure thing to get the job since it is her father's firm. NOPE, she has to earn it just like the man she is competing against. So when she is car jacked in the parking garage of the building on her way to work one morning, her chances are of realizing that dream come to an end. She can not work enough billable hours from home and to top it off, the scum she is competing against has a tape he is using to blackmail her.

Sam is making movies without meaning and he hates it. He wants to be behind the scenes producing and acting in films that say something. He is tired of the girls hovering all over him and wants to just be done with it all. So when a girl shows up in his trailer and tries to get him between the sheets she accuses him of rape when all he wanted was her to go away. Of course he is naked with just a towel around him when he has to make his escape.

One can only imagine what happens next when the carjacker turns out to be Sam. What happens next you will need to read to find out.

This is a fantastic story of self discovery and learning to realize new dreams. It is a story of finding love in unexpected places especially when there is a one sided past history between the two of them. It is a book about becoming non-judgemental in a career where everything is based on judgement.

Julie Jaret is an accomplished author an screenwriter. Her books offer stories based in real life issues while weaving life lessons through them in a way that delivers harsh realities in a polite friendly way.

Natalie is a strong-willed lawyer who is trying to prove to her father that he should mske her partner.

Sam is a movie heartthrob that has a bad boy reputation.

Natalie had a serious crush on Sam during her teen years until something happened that made her hate him. A chance meeting had them thrown together in a dufficult situation. To keep them both out of the media's spotlight, he hides out at her place.

Natalie does everything she can to resist the attraction she is developing for Sam but, she starts to notice that he is not the bad boy she thought he was. When she finally decides to give him a chance hectries to resist until she all but forces him to take notice.

The sparks fly when these two get together and lookout because there is nothing tame about their passion.
