A New Generation of Bambino
The Version 3 has been known for its contemporary feel, a far cry from the classic and antique motifs of the earlier models. Its minimal look is translated through clean, vertical lines and rectangular hands. This symmetry is mirrored by a subtle sunburst dial, which also provides a gentle gleam and clear depth in design. Aside from these modern elements, the Version 3 is a Bambino through and through, carrying its signature domed crystal and domed dial, along with the dual-finish sandwich-style case.

The silver hands on a silver dial make this watch difficult to read except in very good light - it is a daytime watch (there is no lume) hence 4 stars. The hardened mineral glass does distort slightly. The 21mm strap size is bonkers, but Rios in particular do make excellent straps in that size.
The packaging from Amazon US comprises just a Jiffy/Airlite bag with no additional protection. This is the second watch I have had from Amazon US like that, whereas watches from China and Germany arrive in a box with bubble-wrap, etc.
The ONLY reason this watch isn't going back it its timekeeping, which is nothing short of excellent!
Keeps good time and has an in-house movement which handwinds and hacks.
Amazing finish on the dial with a minimalistic look and really nice curve on the crystal. The photos of this online do not do the watch justice and it really catches the light well.
People have spoken about the watch strap and I have seen a comment about the strap looking like it can't be changed (it absolutely can) . It's not a bad strap at all, but not the best either. It is completely (and easily) changeable - do not base your decision on whether or not to buy this watch just on the strap. I currently have the stock strap on the watch - it wears and looks well - can't complain.
I could go on - for the money, a great dress watch, and a great watch for anyone who is looking for a well built and inexpensive automatic watch.
Niggles? Well, for a dress watch it's too big. And the date window spoils the symmetry. And the coat of arms logo is a bit pretentious on a Japanese watch. The OEM leather strap is a bit rubbish - and the 21mm lug size makes replacing it a challenge. So there are a few things to dislike too.
