5.0 out of 5 stars Love it! And what a hot read 12 March 2015
By April Kelley - Published on Amazon.com

Love it! And what a hot read. I'm one of those readers who needs really good characters and Lily G. Blunt doesn't disappoint in this regard. The main characters are just as the title suggests, opposites in every way. The author does a great job playing on this concept, making that a double edged sword.

I received an ARC in return for an honest review.

I am a fan of Lily’s writing, her characters are never two dimensional and always manage to pull my in from the start, and what a start this was! The opening scene shows our couple Chris and Andreas enjoying their holiday and each other and I must admit having read several other of her books, this upfront sexing was quite a change in style, but very welcome.

You get the picture very quickly that as the title suggests, these two are polar opposites. Chris likes activities and taking risks, whereas Andreas is much more reserved. It seems like the only thing they have in common is their love for each other. But is that really enough?

I certainly won’t spoil the story for you, but these two get the chance to put their lives and love for each other into perspective and see just how much the other means to them as they tangle with their feelings and emotions

Lily always explores deeper than most with her characters, adding small facets to them that a lot of people wouldn’t take the time to do, but with these, it works

Above all, the love and mutual respect that Andreas and Chris have for each other shines through the pages and gives a well rounded short story with characters you feel yourself wanting to take sides with. Will opposites really attract? Read for yourself and find out.
4.0 out of 5 stars A Cute, Quick Read & Solid Effort from Author 13 March 2015

3.5 stars

Chris and Andreas have a well-established relationship and love each other very much. They are total opposites, but recently their differing interests have caused a crack in their relationship. While on holiday, the two men find themselves stranded on the side of a mountain. Will they be able to find common ground or lose one another for good?

This is a nice, solid effort from author Lily G. Blunt. She effectively pulled me into the lives of Chris and Andreas and made me truly worry about the future of their relationship. Even though Andreas and Chris both exhibit insecurities, I appreciated the fact that they each made a concerted effort to try to fix the problem. So often in fiction, I notice that the MCs either don't see the problem, or they do and just hope their partner will come around and fix things.

Opposites Attract is a quick read that will show you that sometimes love just isn't enough and communication and compromise are key for a healthy relationship.

Wayward Ink Publishing provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
4.0 out of 5 stars Review by Victoria 16 August 2015

Chris is an athletic person, who enjoys being outdoors. However, a summer trip to Austria shows Chris the differences between them and that Andreas might not be as happy as he pretends to be. I enjoyed that Chris came to the realization that he can’t live without him.

Andreas is a homebody. He enjoys reading and staying indoors. He is the opposite of Chris in almost every way outside the bedroom. Now Andreas fears that his ways will push Chris away and into the arms of someone else. I loved that Andreas decided to surprise Chris.

The connection between Chris and Andreas is so real. They love each other immensely but are so different from each other and they have not found a middle ground yet. The sex scenes were definitely where they excel.

I found this book well written with a unique plot. The main characters and the secondary characters were mesmerizing. While the ending was a little predictable, that was expected at only 43 pages long. Overall, this was a very enchanting book. I would love to see how both Chris and Andreas do in the future
4.0 out of 5 stars Dialling the heat up in an incredibly sweet relationship 20 March 2015

A very sweet short story about an outwardly odd couple on a dream vacation. Whilst on the scenic Austrian mountainside resort, Chris, the outdoorsy one of the two, spends most of his time doing what he loves best: hiking, cycling and trying to persuade Andreas to join him. Andreas is more homebound: he enjoys his quietness and the peace and solitude of just co-existing with his loved one.
This trip which each percieved was a better way to spend more time with the other doesn't quite seem to pan out that way. Chris and Andreas have an abundance of time to themselves, to think about nothing but how they think their relationship is on its way to a certain end.
Set in the beautiful Alps, with an Eagle for a guide, we see this wonderful couple figuring out the meaning of a relationship and the delicate balance of compromise and being a 'doormat'.
