One Night With A Billionaire is the sixth book in the Billionaire Boys Club Series from Jessica Clare. She definitely kept me turning the pages.
Kylie Daniels meets billionaire entrepreneur, Cade Archer when she goes on tour as pop starlet, Daphne Petty's makeup artist. Cade and Daphne have known each other since they were children. They love each other and Cade thinks he might want more, but their relationship is tumultuous at best. Daphne has changed for the worse; too busy touring, partying and taking drugs to give Cade any attention.
After drinking his way through a night of watching Daphne make a fool of herself, Kylie kindly offers to ensure Cade gets home safely. He had spent the night watching her too, her vibrancy and her curves enticing him all night. They end up having one lustful night together. Kylie never expects to see him again, but Cade keeps coming back for more.
I was relieved that Cade finally realized Daphne was not the one for him. Cade has a generous spirit and so much love to give. He is loyal to a fault, continuing to care for his friend through years of her pushing him further and further away. Daphne is incredibly lucky to have him as a friend, but he needed to back away in order for her to wake up. The turmoil of watching Daphne's addiction progress and destroy everything in its wake was sad to read.
I loved Kylie. She's on the larger, curvy side and she's insecure about it, but she maximises her assets instead of hiding her beauty. Cade sees her and thinks, 'va va voom, can't wait to get my hands on her,' something she finds hard to believe considering he wanted to be with the skinny pop star.
Kylie risks losing her job if Daphne finds out about Cade and Kylie dating. Her greatest fear is becoming a burden to anyone.

Kylie is a makeup artist and she’s just landed a job touring with train-wreck music star Daphne Petty. She meets gorgeous Cade Archer, Daphne’s childhood friend and love interest, and when he has too much to drink watching Daphne fall apart in her green room, Kylie takes him back to his hotel and they have naked fun.

This is all a terrible idea, because Kylie will lose her job if Daphne finds out she’s slept with Cade, and Kylie needs to get paid so she can pay for her grandmother to stay in the nursing home. So it is definitely not a good idea for Kylie to go out to dinner with Cade and get drunk and hook up with him again.

This is the sixth in Jessica Clare’s billionaire boys club series, and Clare approaches her plot and characters with a light-hearted style that mostly covers the somewhat sketchy behaviour of her characters. This is a light, fun book where the sweet bigger girl triumphs over the skinny beauty to get the hot rich guy.

Daphne makes her second appearance as the problem woman. She’s all about being the shattered, broken star on the verge of losing everything. Her drug addict but charming but vulnerable thing is a repeat of what’s in the previous book. Unfortunately here it lacks the same emotional punch: in the earlier book Daphne’s sister Audrey was trying to help her sister get clean while working through her long-standing crush on Cade. Cade has loved Daphne since he was fifteen, but he’s thirty now, and can finally see that she’s bad news. And probably, that he didn’t really love her at all, because there’s Kylie, and he’s hot for her, and she seems a nice enough person.

Kylie is good at makeup, and makeup is interesting.

ONE NIGHT WITH A BILLIONAIRE is the sixth installment in Jessica Clare’s adult, contemporary Billionaire Boys Club romance series focusing on a group of self made billionaires (and friends). This is billionaire investor Cade Archer, and make up artist Kylie Daniels. ONE NIGHT WITH A BILLIONAIRE can be read as a stand alone. Any important information from previous storylines is imparted where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives ONE NIGHT WITH A BILLIONAIRE follows the building relationship between Kylie and Cade, and Cade’s crumbling ‘friendship’ with the infamous singer Daphne Petty. The reader was first introduced to Daphne and her struggling relationship with Cade in book three-THE WRONG BILLIONAIRE’S BED. Cade Archer has been in love with Daphne since they were children but Daphne’s drug addiction and questionable lifestyle have forced Cade to get Daphne help on too many occasions. Enter curvaceous and plump Kylie Daniels-Daphne’s new make up artist-and the woman who would capture Cade’s heart. After a drunken one-night stand with Kylie, Cade wakes up alone with little memory about what had happened-the only thing he knows-he wants more from Kylie Daniels.

The relationship is one of mutual attraction although Kylie’s self esteem has been shattered by a past rife with condescending insults and the loss of her parents. Kylie does not understand Cade’s attraction to her, and in this, she believes Cade is only filling an empty hole left behind from his attraction and love for Daphne Petty. The $ex scenes are provocative and steamy. Cade is a man who has fallen in love with Kylie who believes she is not worthy of a man like Cade.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Billionaire Meets his Match What a wonderful read... 3 June 2015
By April R Symes - Published on

***A gifted copy was provided by the author for my honest review****

This is the sixth book in the Billionaire Boys Club. This is Cade Archer's story AND he does not end up with Daphne . His leading lady for this story is Kylie Daniels-she is a makeup artist who is working for Daphne on her tour. Kylie is the total opposite of Daphne in every way; she is mistreated by Daphne but she needs this job to care for her sick grandmother so she takes the abuse .

The night Cade and Kylie meet there is insane attraction, instant chemistry BUT Daphne is in the way. Kylie and Cade end up having this wild night of passion which turns into something more engaging. There are such conflicting feelings between them- passion, budding love, guilt over Daphne even though Cade hasn’t dated her in a while. Cade is actually happy that he has Kylie in his life and is willing to do what he has to keep her in his life because she brings light back into his life. Kylie is willing to hide their relationship from Daphne because Cade brings her happiness and he seems to accept her for who she is and her size( she is a BBW) and doesn’t look down on her.

Kylie has never really known love in her life. Her grandmother was abusive to her before her illness. She works now to keep her grandmother in a care facility. Before this job, she was months behind on payments to that care facility with no money to her name and crashing on her friend's couch. Kylie was so desperate and was willing to take this job and sign the no disclosure clause. Kylie just barely survived her previously relationship and she knows this relationship with Cade will be the end of her because not only will this damage her career and her self, but Cade will leave her too.
I was mad that Daphne was brought into this story but when I think about it, I understand why and I am so glad that Jessica Claire did so. It explained Cade and Daphne’s backstory and rounded out how they end and gives them closure in order for Cade to move on. Cade was dealing with so much pain from the past, from the wreckage of what had occurred with Daphne. Now that he has Kylie in his life, he is fighting so hard to keep what is good in his life. He is still just as sinfully good like in the previous books and I love that he is finally getting the HEA because he deserves it.

Kylie and Cade had some intense, passionate scenes in this book. There times together were romantic, sweet, steamy, and times sentimental and wistful. They had to keep their sexy times a secret from Daphne so they were “doin’ it and doin’ it well “ in secret and it made the sex so explosively hot and heavy and oh so good that I had to turn the fans on, that it was so good. Things were going so good until …until Daphne found out and all heck broke loose and the billionaire and makeup artist had to decide was their good thing worth fighting for. Cade and Kylie is such a wonderful couple and I loved them. I felt for Kylie because I could put myself in her shoes. She is a regular gal, dealing with body issues and wondering could she be loved for herself. Cade, even though very very rich, wants to be loved for who HE is, not for his money. Two great people wanting the one thing- to be loved for themselves. Will they reach for that or will they squander what they have and let it go?

I think what didn’t work for me was Daphne’s management company having to be the evil in the story and then also making Daphne the evil as well. I felt like it made things a bit scattered for me. I liked to focus and make one the really big evil. But overall, this was a fantastic story and I loved all the goings on with this story.

Do Kylie and Cade get the HEA? Does Daphne ever get her act together? You will have to read to find out.

My rating: 4.8 stars *****

5.0 out of 5 stars Love these Billionaire Boys! 21 July 2015

Seems kind of strange to be reading Cade & Kylie's story. The last of this Billionaire Boys Club series. I'll have to say, Jessica Clare kept me entertained and smiling, sometimes sad or upset, but ALWAYS gave these couples an HEA. In this particular story, Kylie is a make-up artist, who works for a recording star. Cade has had feelings for Daphne, a star singer since they were kids, but has waited for her to straighten her life out for too many years. When he shows up at one of her concerts she invited him to, then doesn't even realize he is there, Cade spends the evening watching her and drinking. When he gets ready to leave, Kylie insists on driving him, because of all the alcohol she watched him drink. So begins their relationship. That's as much of a spoiler as you are going to get from me. This is a terrific book, and being a big girl, I know how some of that insecurity can feel.
5.0 out of 5 stars Finding your happiness.... 4 July 2015

So finally our sweet, calm, peacemaking, easy going, always smiling Cade Archer gets his HEA. How can one not love Cade? He's devilishly handsome with angelic blond, blue eyes and a smile that can melt a woman's heart. And he's been in love with his childhood friend (Rock Star, Daphne Petty) for fifteen years, but is finally realizing the train wreck that she is...and that she's never going to change with her drug habit. She's not interested in changing no matter how many times Cade is there for pick her up and help get her clean. He finally moves on and the reality of his moment of awakening is heartbreaking. But he has the perfect shoulder to lean on...He meets Kylie Daniels.

Make-up artist Kylie Daniels is very good at her job. She's worked with many celebs. and their quirky behavior and extravagant expectations. But Kylie is patient and kind and very sweet. She never loses her cool no matter how rudely she's treated. Kylie is a "chunky" young woman with dyed blonde hair and big brown eyes. She has a cute dimpled smile. She's a wholesome, good girl --- hard working and responsible. She's a "giver" of herself and comforting others...caring for others even at the expense of her feelings. She struggles with issues of low self-esteem and low confidence. And for the first time in Kylie's life, she meets someone who makes her feel desirable and beautiful and perfect.

I love that Ms. Clare always portrays the female characters (of her Billionaire Boys Club series) as "real women" with real jobs or careers. I love that she portrays them as flawed...well, "flawed" in the sense of romance novels. They all come from common walks of life...(waitresses, personal assistants, school teachers, anonymous writers, country bumpkins). I love that Ms. Clare gives us "real women" and not svelte, tanned, thin models etc. and I applaud her original imagination. And I loved this story...I adore Cade Archer's character and how he looks at Kylie with adoration. Like she's a beautiful work of art and he cannot take his eyes off of her. Because she is! She's sweet perfection...

The only downside to this story was a certain time line. Kylie runs from Cade at one point, leaving her cell phone behind at his hotel....yet minutes later we read that she's receiving a call on her cellphone for her grandmother. I backtracked to see if I missed anything... Anyway, it's so insignificant I probably shouldn't even mention it. It doesn't throw the storyline....but, oh well. This story was a wonderful HEA for Cade. It stands alone and delivers brilliantly. I only wish Ms. Clare told us the sex of Reese and Audreys' baby!!!! Gaaaaaaah!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally it's Cade's story and it's fantastic. 2 June 2015

Jessica Claire is back with the final book in the Billionaires Boy Club series (sob) and we finally get the delicious Cade Archer’s story and I have to say for me the wait was worth it. I inhaled this book and absolutely loved it.

For fans of the series, you will be either happy or disappointed with Cade’s heroine but this reader doesn’t think that he could have ended up with someone other than the wonderful Kylie. Yes, there will be readers who wanted him with Daphne, but read it and you will see why I think Kylie is perfect for the billionaire.

These two have sizzling chemistry from their first hilarious encounter and it only gets hotter with every look and touch till even you will be saying get a room.

“Their interlude in the janitor’s closet had pretty much proven to her that all Cade needed to do was snap his fingers and her panties would practically melt off of her, legs springing open in eagerness for him.”

Cade and Kylie were just perfect for each other and watching them fall for the other was so much fun. Even when Kylie was resisting Cade (and failing gloriously) you will be laughing at the lengths Cade goes to get a date with Kylie. Oh and the texts between Reece and Cade when he’s falling….priceless.

Add in diva extraordinaire Daphne and you get enough drama to out soap a soapie. There were times I loved her and times I hated her. But that’s Daphne right?

This was a fantastic ending to a series that has become a favourite of mine. While I’m sad to see it end, even though I know it’s spinning off into a new series, I am happy to see this bunch of billionaires find their HEA and change for the better. Time for a binge re-read I think.

I received a copy of this book from the always amazing ad busy author for an honest review.
4.0 out of 5 stars Kylie is like a fifties pinup but she just sees herself as ho hum while Cade sees her as va va voom 10 June 2015

Kylie has worked to support her career as a makeup artist. She has taken a few hits along the way but with a grandmother suffering from dementia to provide for she always tries to land on her feet. When her newest job has her doing the makeup for a pop star idol Daphne she is excited about going on tour with her, that is until she meets the drugged out twig who goes from being enjoyable to malicious at the drop of a hat.

Cade has been in love with Daphne for years, he is always by her side when she falls but after so many years with the same merry go round, Cade is beginning to realize it will never stop. When he sees Daphne again he knows it is over and his interest is caught by her makeup artist Kylie. In need of a friend he finds himself being consoled by Kylie and feelings he has never experienced before begin to erupt. Could Cade fall for Kylie, absolutely but the feisty woman keeps trying to push him away.

Fantastic story. Kylie is like a fifties pinup but she just sees herself as ho hum while Cade sees her as va va voom. Kylie had an verbally abusive grandmother who has made her feel less worthy as others, this is one obstacle where Cade is concerned. The other though is Daphne, Daphne believes Cade is hers and will stop anyone in her path to Cade. Had a couple of surprises in the story that will entertain readers.
