“I'm just so g****** tired of being ignored. Every freaking day, I'm here. You see me, but you don't see me. Why? Am I not obedient enough? Pretty enough? Smart or cultured enough? Or is it because I'm not a carbon copy of one of your plastic whores?”
Six years ago, when Macen Hammerman (aka Hammer) took in an almost eighteen year old runaway sleeping in the alley behind his underground BDSM club, he never could have expected the effect she would have on his life. All these years later he has grown to love her but refuses to act on it-Hammer has some pretty serious demons in his past that won't allow him to let her in, knowing he would only hurt her in the end.
Raine Kendall has been in love with her boss, the man who took her in off the streets, for years. Tired of being ignored and looked over for the many women who have crossed into his bedroom, she finally lays all her heart on the line, offering herself to him completely... and he rejects her-in the cruelest way possible. Finally pushed past her limits on how much pain her heart can take, she decides to pack it in and just leave, or so she thought...
Liam O’Neill has been best friends with Hammer for years, he can see how much he loves Raine and doesn't understand why he insists on punishing himself by not claiming the one woman he wants. He also see the damage being inflicted on Raine by Hammer's constant rejection-he won't claim her for himself, yet he won't allow another Dom to claim her either. So he puts a plan in motion; he offers Raine the opportunity to be trained as a submissive by him, knowing the blinding rage Hammer will inevitably feel will force the other Dom to act. What he wasn't prepared for was developing feelings for Raine himself. Now he is faced with turning her over to Hammer when the time comes, or fighting to keep her for himself.
He kissed like a god. With one seductive whisper he could distract her utterly. One touch, and she felt her defenses crumbling. But those lips could capture her soul. Yes, she loved Hammer, but... Liam set her on fire.
Where do I even start with this book? First off-I think the fact that the books in this series are being named after Soap Operas was bloody brilliant and totally fitting. Can you say drama? This story is loaded with it; non-stop, over-the-top, scream my head off, cry my eyes out -drama. I have never met a more stubborn character than Hammer, even Raine, Liam to a degree, and the drama just keeps on blowing up around them-from start to finish-it was freakin exhausting and I loved every flippin minute of it. Plus the sex?! HottHottHott!! Like melt my kindle, my hubby loves you, hott-as-heck steam-and a lot of it. With a story that moves at break-neck speed and just doesn't let up, steam that will leave you in a lust-induced haze, a fantastic group of characters (some that will surprise you-like Beck), and enough drama, tears, and screams, to last you all year-this book was freakin impossible to put down. And then I got to the end-the mother of all screamfests-a freakin cliffy that will blow your head off and leave you hanging on the edge. Luckily, the next book is already out, and I cannot wait to get my greedy little hands on it, so my urge to commit murder is at a minimum. What I can tell you is these fab authors grabbed my short attention span and sanity by the nails and with that ending they still have it-I am DYING to see what they bring us next.
“Everyone else is a way to pass the time. You, he takes care of. He watches over. He guides. He loves. Don't let him bull**** you into believing different. But I honestly didn't see Liam O'Neill coming. That man has a serious hard-on for you. I wanted to see if Hammer would save you from me. But I think it will be much more fun to see if he fights Liam for you instead.”
Happy Reading xo Jenn @ BookwormBetties

I wasn't sure at first if this was going to be my cup of tea but I quickly changed my mind.
Raine lives and works at Shadows a BDSM club owned by Macen "Hammer" Hammerstein. She has had the hots for Hammer for years. He has feelings for her but won't give in to them. Then Liam his best friend enters the picture and the story takes off as emotions are pulled all over the place and each person's actions has an impact on all three of their lives.
The characters are all believable and the men pretty sexy even when doing less than honourable things. The sex scenes are well written and erotically hot, and they are also integral to the story not just add ins. A great start to a series that will unfold the whole story arc. This is not a stand alone story so to get the whole story the whole series will need to be read.
I started with the prequel, learning about Raine, how she ended up at Hammers Club, I have to admit his behavior and actions were very puzzling.
Everyone could see how Rained felt about him, even Macen (Hammer) could see it, she was a sweet girl with plenty of love to give along with lots of sass.
I liked Hammers friend Liam, it seems there is more to him then we've seen so far.
We join One Dom to Love where the prequel ended, with Liam going to Macen's club in Los Angeles.
Liam could see how much Macen felt for the raven haired beauty that is Raine.
It became apparent, that Liam begins to have feelings for Raine too, and as his friend is probably the only one who will tell him the truth, Macen doesn't want to hear.
I felt Raine was a bot of a pawn between the two men and after seeing Macy with another sub, it pushes her to make a final stand to get her man, and tried she did. He was quite barbaric with dishing out her punishment, at the hands of the biggest pan giver Beck.
Liam disagrees with the choice of punishment, and gives Raine a way out, but she is a proud tough stubborn lady and will not give anyone the satisfaction of breaking her.
I loved how gentle Liam was after Raine realised she was only going to be hurting for longer, with the punishment. She took Liam's way out.
The cracks in Liam and Macen's friendship started to appear , especially after Raine goes to Macen once more.
I must admit the bedroom scenes were smoking hot, definitely panty melting and although she was wrong, it was a night of unbridled passion and even after Liam finding Macen and Raine together he is a very patient man - although not without a temper.
I was torn between the two Doms, wanting them both to succeed to win Raines heart, and after learning all their stories they all have been keeping secrets.
Is Liam goading Macen, yes he is. Is Liam the better man, so far he has proved that he is.
The rest of their story is going to be very intriguing.
Raine has now grown into a beautiful sensual woman who passionately loves Macen, as a woman - not a child. He refuses to see her that way even after she completely humiliates herself literally throwing herself at him. Macen decides to punish Raine (yes, for loving him and being understandably destroyed when he brushes her off yet again) and gives her to a hard-core sadist to be admonished. Macen's closest friend Liam is staying at the club, he is attracted to Raine and see's her potential as a submissive so he propositions her to train with him. Whilst Liam secretly hopes it will make his friend jealous, he is there at Raine's punishment and stops it going to far - taking Raine to begin her training.
Anyhow, both boys end up wanting Raine and they end up scrapping over her. She is pulled in both directions as her fondness for Liam grows under his tutelage.
This story lost a star because of Macen - I just struggled to like him at all. He owns a BDSM club for God's sake, he professes to have Raine's best interests at heart but he is so uncontrollably emotive and cruel. Yes, I know he has 'issues' but this is no excuse for his behaviour, as a Dom he is despicable and as a man he's an insensitive ass! Also, a cliff-hanger, although the major part of the story was concluded so I was ok with that.
I liked how fiery Raine is, she is courageous and tough and I adored Liam's handling of her and his cherishing her.
I did really enjoy the story but even with three very talented authors, the quality of 'Cherise Sinclair's' books this is not.
The day started bad for Raine Kendall and despite her determination never to let it happen again she knew she was going to have her heart broken by Macen Hammerman - again! Despite knowing him for a number of years he refused to acknowledge her as a woman. For him she was still the little girl he had rescued in the alley behind his club. He took her in, educated her and nurtured her but still treated her like a 15 year old.
Raine is a sensual woman who deeply loves him but as woman and not as the child he still believes she is. She decides to try once more and throws herself at Macen only to be humiliated and crushingly rejected by him again.
Enter Liam O'Connell, Macen's close friend. Liam watches his friends rejection of Raine and decided to step in and play a game with Macen. Make him jealous and help him to recognise Raine as a woman - that was the plan but what Liam didn't reckon for was falling for Raine himself.
There were aspects of this story that I liked. Raine was feisty and it was good to see this when she dealt with Macen and his churlish behaviour. Macen blew too hot and cold for me and despite thinking he had Raine's best interests at heart he was a totally selfish, insensitive and at time a cruel dominant that didn't appear to know his own mind.
Liam's handling of Raine was good. He showed her what it could be like to submit to him, he was sensitive and loving but also very dominant.
The book lost a number of stars because once again we are left with the usual cliff hanger and yes it is a trilogy. It it is also a very predicatble story finishing at 94% with the remaining 6% dedicated to the authors and excerpts from other stories.
Please - could authors (or the publishers) make it clear to the reader that it is the first book of 3 or even the fact that it is going to be a trilogy? Trilogies have become my pet irritation now particularly those that take forever to be released. The flow of the story just gets lost by this type of writing.
So do you think that Raine wil give up on Macen and give her heart, body and soul to Liam? Or do you think Macen will heal his demons and give into his lust for Raine and try to claim her from Liam or will Raine give her heart, body and sould to Liam?
If you want to find out then this trilogy may be for you. Book 2 is due to be released in 2013. No date given.
Raine is just awesome, strong and independent but with the submissive side I have a fondness for.
Overall, 5* and looking forward to reading part two to see if Hammer redeems himself.
