Product Description

Be careful what you wish for . . .

Delphine Baudry wished to be a best-selling author, but now instead of celebrating and jumping into her next novel, she's frozen with fear. What if she turns out to be a one-hit-wonder? What if all her new fans hate the next book? To top it all off, she can't even discuss the situation with her favorite brainstorming partner, her mother, who is losing her memory to Alzheimer's. Taking a cue from some teens tossing Euros into a fountain, Delphine gives into some whimsy and wishes for her next book plot.

Jean-Paul Chassériau wished to start an online marketing company in La Rochelle. Now the real work begins. Feeling pressure to live up to his father's name in traditional marketing, Jean-Paul has a million ideas but no clients. When he finds a funky old Franc lodged between cobblestones near a fountain, there was only one thing to do. Make a wish.

When their coins collide, Delphine and Jean-Paul's wishes become intertwined, changing the course of their futures, and teaching them that wishes are sometimes fulfilled in unexpected ways.

I really enjoyed this book. A lovely sweet romance that read as a slightly fictional, self-reflexive narrative (I have no idea if it reflects the author's life experiences at all!), which gave it a beautifully true ring. I devoured every word and was utterly captivated. Definitely worth reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wishes can come true 31 May 2017

This is the first book I've read by Danyelle Ferguson, but it won't be my last. This unique story was so engaging and it pulled me in from the beginning. Delphine and Jean-Paul are the perfect couple and I loved they way they meet. I've really enjoyed all of the Destined for Love books. I can't wait to read the next one. If you want a sweet read, I recommend this book. I love that I can let my daughter read all of these books.

I really enjoyed this story about two strangers gently falling in love. The setting was intriguing as I've never been to Europe before. I loved reading about some of their customs and daily routines. And goodness there were some swoon-worthy moments!! Loved that it was a clean sweet romance.

Two coins tossed into a fountain collide. What are the odds? Danyelle Ferguson has written a well crafted story with well developed characters. I could not put this one down - thank goodness it was a holiday weekend! This series is amazingly well done - and clean!

5.0 out of 5 stars Finding Love in France 31 May 2017
By mara - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This is the 5th book I've read in the Destined for Love series. This one is slightly different in that the people involved live in La Rochelle, France, and aren't just visiting. The author's descriptions are good; she makes me want to try a chocolat chaud (really good French hot chocolate) with a pastry.
Delphine is a writer who's got writer's block. She's had several best sellers but now is worried that she was a one hit wonder, so while at the cafe for a chocolat chaud she goes to the fountain to toss a coin and make a wish. Jean-Paul has started an online marketing branch of his father's company in La Rochelle. He's under pressure to live up to his father's name, and when he finds an old coin by the fountain he too makes a wish. Delphine and Jean-Paul meet when the coins they toss into the fountain collide. What are the odds of that happening?
Delphine and Jean-Paul make a cute couple. Over the course of several weeks they spend time together at the cafe, walking around the market, and going to different sights in La Rochelle. She works on her new book idea and he updates her author website. There's a funny moment involving a text message mix-up and a heart touching scene towards the end of the book that made me fall more in love with Jean-Paul, who is a total gentleman.
I liked how their friendship naturally progressed to deeper feelings and how they could talk to each other about anything. I especially liked how the author explained what writers go through to turn their thoughts and ideas into books--meeting with their editor, the timeline, etc.
This is a great quick read (about 154 pages) for an afternoon/evening. It's a clean romance with a few kisses near the end.

4.0 out of 5 stars What a fun and clever CuteMeet 31 May 2017
By Julie C - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
What a fun and clever CuteMeet! And a super cute start to the story. I had fun and really enjoyed reading this book. I mean what's not to like reading a book about an author writing a book? Plus throw in some fun goofy humor, geeky moments, a handsome prince(ok just a business man), sparks and add a dash of France, beautiful scenery and magic(ok maybe more like chemistry) and voila! A fun and entertaining read that left me laughing, grinning and happy!

Another great novella in the Destined for Love: Europe series and one you can gobble up in one sitting. I loved the writing, especially with the aspects in the story about writing a book. I love the passion that Delphine had once she had an idea and all the creative juices started flowing. It was fun to see that side of author creativity. Her author friends and editor added a fun zest to the story, even though they didn't have too much page time.

Jean-Paul, ooh-la-la! Ok it's set it France, they're French characters and there's some fun phrases throughout that add a great French flair to the book, so I couldn't resist adding one here too! ;-D He was a great counterpart for Delphine! I loved their geekiness and the chemistry...ooh-la-la! <333

Seriously their chemistry was so fun! Danyelle Ferguson can write some great romantic scenes that are sweet and clean but the tension is very palpable. Every time they're about to kiss...well I'll let you read to figure that one out. :-)

There's some angst and some struggles that both characters are trying to work through but nothing too heavy. Just a sweet and fun read all together. The story flowed smoothly and I enjoyed reading from both Delphine and Jean-Paul's POV. I'm definitely ready to go sit at an outdoor cafe, drinking a tasty chocolate drink, enjoying the view of the fountain and making sure I have my dashing ooh-la-la hubby and a bag of coins we can experiment with! Can't wait!!! Ohhh, I can't forget to bring the dog.

Content: Clean. Lots of kissing. Hee Hee not quite what you're thinking though. Think French and completely platonic. If you're thinking about reading the series or already are, I think you'll have fun with this lighthearted contemporary clean romance.

Happy Reading!!!
