Product Description

Rowan Palotay hopes she never runs into the too-handsome Prince Theodore Chenery ever again after she leaves an embarrassing first impression. But fixing her mistake garners even more attention from the prince, and when he requests she be his reporter for a news story, she can’t say no.

Prince Theo is completely enchanted with Rowan and finds her special brand of kindness and honesty impossible to ignore. Back home, his choices are made for him, but here in this small town where his mother grew up, he feels connections he never has before. And the more time he and Rowan spend together, the more he wants her—all of her.

When obligations back home take a turn he didn’t see coming, he’s ready to stake his claim. But when his father and the media get wind of his relationship with Rowan, Theo must decide whether to follow his heart or his royal duty.

Prince Theo came to spend a month in Marietta Montana, his mothers home town, to physically meet his grandparents for the first time in his life. After his mother met his father, she never returned to her childhood hometown again before her death, he promised her he would go visit. His first morning there he literally collides with a spunkily feisty young lady walking 4 dogs. Once untangled, one of the dogs urinates on his foot.
Rowan continues to make mistakes, even though she tries not to. Now she's on her last chance at the local newspaper and forced to write a small pet column instead of what she should be writing. While at her dog walking job, yet again things happen out of her control. All four dogs tangle themselves as well as her with Prince Theodore Chenery, DEFINITELY NOT the way she wanted to meet any royalties. Now Rowan is hoping for some Christmas miracle to come her way.
Rowan and Theo form a strong friendship after their unusual meeting, and while she's interviewing him for the newspaper. Their connection is stronger than just friendship though, but Theo has obligations back home that he must return for. What will happen between Theo and Rowan? What will he choose love or duty? You'll have to read ONCE UPON A ROYAL CHRISTMAS to find out. I absolutely, thoroughly loved this story! I was hooked from page 1 and refused to put it down until I finished the entire book. This standalone story was my first Robin Bielman book, but it won't be my last. I want to read the story of how Rowan's brother Nick and her best friend Cassidy meet in FALLING FOR HER BACHELOR (Bachelor Auction Book#2) http://amzn.to/1U6h4Cp, which has connecting characters with this story. Due to sexual situations, this book is recommended for readers 17 and older! I received an ARC via IndieSage in exchange for an honest blog tour review.

This story has a fairytale quality to it that is both sweet and charming. Add to that two warm, caring protagonists whom I found myself liking immediately and you have the makings of a real page turner. As Theo is a prince, you'd expect a bit of the pomp and ceremony that is normally associated with royalty, but he presents himself as a person with genuine affection for and interest in others around him. Rowan also comes across as somebody who is truly invested in her community, if a little uncertain about her talents.
This story is set in the gorgeous make-believe Montana town of Marietta, which I have grown to love over the years. The setting guarantees gorgeous scenery - think breathtaking snow-capped mountains and shimmering lakes. The story is filled with small-town people who genuinely care about each other, and because this is a Christmas story, there are some lovely Christmas traditions as well. Robin Bielman has written a truly lovely story here and it was an absolute joy to read.
