My main comments are on the lens...this new low profile 14-42 lens is WONDERFUL! Works as well as the regular 14-42 that came with my PM2. I took a chance and bought this camera because this lens looked so intriquing. I could have easily reused my original 14-42. No going back! It is so small and just as responsive.
If you get this lens with any Olympus camera body, you MUST get the auto open close cap:
One downside to this lens...it is sliver and often reflects when you take pictures through windows...irritating. I don't know if the black one would work better:
I may buy the black one. I kinda wish I had. That said, I can't recommend the camera or lens more highly. Met and exceeded expectations. Again, the lenscap is a big deal. We went on a 2 week vacation to Europe and the speed of just turning on the camera, snapping a few photos, and switching it off is a dream. So much faster than a traditional lens cap. The small size of the EM-10 with this tiny but powerful lens and the auto lens cap is wonderful for travel, children, pets...any situation when you need to snap a pic on short notice. They are right that you will have to clean your lens more frequently because the "blades" on the auto lens cap do let in some dust. I just used my Lens Pen every night before we went to bet while on vacation. I always found a few specs of dust, but not bad.
I already had a battery charger so the one that came with this (with a EU type plug that also works in Korea, etc) wasn't an issue. If you need one, I might recommend this:
Batteries work well, the charger works as good as the Olympus one that came with my PM2 and is MUCH smaller and better for travel.
