Just a tip, when you first get it open it all up, it has a very strong neoprene smell to it that you will want to get rid of before putting all your clothes in it.
There are many built-in areas for storage in this bag. Inside the main compartment, there are two zippered pocket, one covered with mesh and one with opaque plastic, that are presumably for shoes. There are two large side compartments on the outside. The back has a simple large zippered pocket that could fit files or magazines. The front has a bit more organizer functionality. There are sewn in area for your phone, pens, IDs. There is an additional medium zippered pocket inside the front pocket for important articles.
Please note that this deluxe garment bag is quite large. I am 5'5" when I am carrying the bag with the strap on my shoulder, the bottom of the bag keeps hitting my knees/calves when I walk. My boyfriend, who is 5'11" does not have any issue. Otherwise, carrying it over a rolling carry-on luggage would work too. On our United flight, this was considered a personal item. However, given the size of the bag and how full the plane was, I was definitely worried that they would make us check it in. The bag is too large to fit under the seat in front, or even to fit in the overhead compartment standing up. It must be laid flat, so make sure that it goes in on top of a smaller luggage, or someone might put their things on top of the garment bag and crush those expensive suits!
I put tons of stuff in this thing: two pairs of dress pants, three button down shirts, a blouse, a men's suit vest, a dress, a cardigan... I could be missing things. I put a pair of men's dress shoes and a pair of woman's flats in the center pockets. When closed, the bag was very sturdy and looked like a well made bag.
My only complaint was that it didn't stay on my carryon very well. The strap to attach it to the handle of your suitcase was way to high, so it would just slide down, unless you hold the garment bag handle with your suitcase handle.
The bag has a strange chemical smell which I'm sure will dissipate over time. I'm tempted to spray my febreze fabric refresher on it to speed up the process. I left the bag wide open on my living room floor to air it out.
The second gripe is that the zippers seem kinda weak, especially the interior one that helps cover the garment. It seems especially cheap and weak. I know I know, the bag is only $35! But still, I'd gladly pay an extra $2-3 out of my own pocket to get a much higher quality interior zipper.
The shoulder strap is also a weak point. It has one of those super hard rough plastic shoulder "pads". It looks, feels, and seems cheap. I wish they could somehow work a slightly nicer shoulder strap into the budget.
And finally, there's no hanging hook. Luckily I was able to buy one separately, and thankfully they did include a mechanism inside the bag so that you can put a hanging hook but it's kinda clunky. Nicer more high end bags have a hanging hook that is outside the bag so you can hang the bag and put suits in and take them out very easily.
These complaints are very minor, and honestly I can overlook the faults easily given the incredible price of the bag. If you're looking to save $$ and spend $35-50 on a garment bag, this is the one to get. If you have more $$ I'd get a briggs and riley since they have an unbeatable lifetime warranty. This olympia has a 5 year warranty which I felt was plenty given how cheap the bag is.
