Product Description

Eve has no idea she’s the oldest soul on earth, with a pre-wired connection to every other soul on the planet and that the boy she’s mysteriously drawn to, named Roman, has been her soul mate, her love of nearly three hundred lifetimes—until he tells her.

But what Roman doesn’t mention is that the new genetic test called Animus will soon expose what she is to the whole world and that he’s being tasked with the impossible; steering her, into the open arms of another, a boy named Jude. She’ll learn that Jude’s the only brand new soul on earth; the one who’s come to change the world, and that the future of humanity rests in their intertwined destiny.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it! 17 November 2015

I first took the quiz that is so brilliantly connected to this book. Immediately I wanted to know more about the other souls. I had to buy the book. I ordered 3 books so I could give a couple away, but couldn't wait to read it so I also downloaded the Kindle version. WOW! Great read, couldn't put it down, finished this morning. I just wanted to turn the page and keep reading! While reading the book I found myself taking sides and rooting for Roman. Team Roman! You can find the quiz on the books web site, I scored Mountain. I can't wait to read the next one. #AllSoulsMatter

4.0 out of 5 stars The bones of a good story 6 May 2016
By Sarita Maude - Published on Amazon.com

I've chosen to be generous with the stars, with respect to the authors effort. This is a big story, with epic themes and characters. She's brave for trying to tackle it. This is not an easy story to tell.

The beginning is a bit bumpy and the text can be heavy- with a lot of long sentences and cliches. I hung in there hoping it would improve and it did. The last chapters flow more smoothly.

That being said, for the very large scope of the story, I feel it ended too quickly. There is so much going on that it dwarfs the characters and does not give the reader a chance to care about these people and their relationships, before it's suddenly over. The bad guy is a bit too conveniently bad and the soul mate is a bit too good. There wasn't time to make it more complex. Instead of letting you choose your own opinion of the characters, she has to tell you what to think of them.

She has a very interesting section, where she defines souls by their age and it is well written. She also uses references to foreign languages in a cohesive and interesting way, which added nicely to the of the tone of the story.

I am interested to see the next installment. I hope she can continue to develop the characters in a more 3 dimensional way and perhaps focus on very distinct veins of her story, rather than hopping about. Good luck!

5.0 out of 5 stars Light fantasy or deep philosophy - you decide 28 October 2016
By Rebecca White - Published on Amazon.com

Funnily enough I read this book after following the facebook page because I loved all of their posts.
This book while "teen fiction" genre was a thought provoking yet light read.
The title "Animus" is a reference to Carl Jung psychology and the book loosely follows his beliefs in the many stages of human personality and identification. The concept of soul lives and the age of our souls/how many lives we have lived is a theory than many spiritual people (not necessarily religious) feel deeply about and the idea that we keep coming back until we have learnt all of our lessons from ego, to power, to enlightenment and understanding is something that I know I found very close to my own heart.
This book was simply amazing and I would recommend it to anyone - you can make it as deep as you want it to be; treat it as a light fantasy read, or take the deeper philosophy that is on offer. I cannot wait for the next one x

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't wait for book two~ 16 February 2016

I really enjoyed reading 'Animus' the only problem will be waiting for the next book to come out! Reading this felt so familiar and so bizarre at the same time. What a fantastic concept, carbon dating to see what your 'soul number' is! I took the test and I have a "Star Soul" so my number is zero! This book paints a frightening vision of what would become of us... very believable, to say the least! The characters are interesting and Phoenix and Roman's recollections are fantastic! I'm not sure it's a gift I would like to be in possession of, though.

5.0 out of 5 stars A compelling read from cover to cover 26 March 2016
By Sidney Wood - Published on Amazon.com

Every aspect of this book appealed to me. I was drawn in by characters that I wanted to love or hate, and flawless descriptive writing. There was a perfect tempo to the story and each chapter ended with me yearning to know what happens next. Neil Gaiman watch out!
