For travel, not about travel.
i.e. action and a rattling yarn suitable if you have to hang around an airport for ages or have a long train journey.
This story is a kind of action-film-in-words. The ingredients are not surprising - kidnapping, international skulduggery, an affair with the secretary and ... Harry Jones emerges wounded but whole where no normal person would. A fine book for its genre but it doesn't bear close analysis or logical reading.
(By the way, Michael, there are few grammatical faults in this story unlike other (?later) novels which are studded with them. At least two grammatical points appear in both correct and incorrect form, which is surprising. How on earth did you manage that?)
