Brenton Thwaites, Karan Soni (Dopinda from Deadpool) and Zachary Levi (TVs Chuck) star in OFFICE UPRISING - an outrageous new comedy packed with laughs, mayhem and a little bit of horror! Thwaites is Desmond, an underachiever working at Ammotech, a leading weapons manufacturer. But when his co-workers are ‘weaponised’ by Zolt (an experimental energy drink being developed for the military) the office turns into a war zone. Facing a horde of homicidal maniacs and a boss who’s even more mental than usual, Desmond and an unlikely team of heroes set out to rescue his true love…and make it to the end of a killer day at work!

This is first and foremost a comedy film with lots of killing and maiming thrown in for good measure. Sometimes these types of films get it wrong resulting in the production becoming just plain stupid, but Office Uprising walks a pretty good line and I found it to be funny, well paced and good fun. It helps that the cast seem to be having a good time and nothing they are asked to do (no matter how crazy) is too hard. 4.5 stars.

While BT is temporarily at home, a delivery of a canned drink named "Zolt" is delivered to the firm. When he returns, BT finds that he has entered a battlefield between the employees, and the office looks like a slaughterhouse. Nearly all employees have been drinking "Zolt" which was originally designed as a drink to build up soldiers. It is grossly flawed and turns people into "zombies" (not your usual kind) who are turning on everyone, especially those in other departments. How BT gets out of all this while rescuing his would-be girlfriend (Jane Levy) and a fellow male employee makes up (one might say consumes) the balance of this film. It is fun up to a point, but becomes far too slapstick in tone and is peppered with swear words of every (X) kind. How all this ends and who and how they survive I will not disclose (NO Spoilers here). In the end, this film could be described as a "horror comedy". Yet it does make some very salient and serious points about the advancement of the weapons industry and weapons in general. The response to this film will depend upon one's personal sense of humor and a desire to see particular actors.
