Much more comfortable than the original strap! Lasted 4 months with gentle care!But a split open through the "Right strap Clip-on" when it wasn't in use, while sat on the table and it developed overnight. Very strange.I contacted Oculus Support about warranty replacement (Not Amazon vendor), given all my details and proof of purchase. It's been a week with Quote: "We are going to look into this and will require more time to look into possible options available to you."For reference, mine was a Pre-order and it has No date codes or serial number. It just has "Made in China" printed inside.Update: a replacement was sent from Oculus free of charge. Very happy with the service!

Fantastic upgrade to the Quest 2 headset! First thing you will notice is how much better the weight distribution is. No more front heavy issues, yes it still feels like you have something on your head but so much more comfortable than with the original strap and more comfortable than the Quest 1. I had a friend that likes to come over and play VR on my Quest 2, he found the elastic strap uncomfortable on his head and so I purchased the Elite Strap to make it more enjoyable for friends and family to play, he immediately found it a far more enjoyable experience, you can play for hours without any issues. No more sore neck from the uneven weight. And as a bonus it makes the headset look amazing! If you have the extra money and want to improve the Quest 2 then definetly grab the Elite Strap! This is a must buy and you won't regret the purchase!

The elite strap is great in terms of added comfort for longer play sessions. I could barely play for an hour with the original strap due to the lack of support from the back of the head.
Due to the multiple reports of the elite breaking, I was hesitant in getting the product, but now that I have had it for a bit it is clear how the design is flawed. Pretty much the main thing to avoid when using the elite strap is do not hinge the strap and headset by grabbing the rear and pulling up/down when putting on or taking off the headset. This will put too much stress on the plastic arms, which have no real strength or reinforcement.
My advice is, only put the headset on/off by significantly loosening the strap via the knob and lift off by holding the headset itself. I have been sticking to this and always being cautious on how much stress being placed on the arms and my strap is still break free after months of using it.

Other pros:
- easier to put on vs original strap
- easier to get the headset in the best position for visuals.
- comfort
- better for holding a link cable

Cons:
- weak design requiring caution and care but can prevent breaks if treated right
- can’t really use over ear headphones with the strap

An excellent replacement for the default strap. Keeps the headset firmly against your face with little to no movement. I found it made it far easier to get the correct eye relief from the lenses. The pressure exerted on you face feels difference but you get used to it quickly.

The elite strap does not seem to impact on what head phones you are able to wear as it work well with both my G432 and Hyper X Cloud.

Easy to fit, the design and materials seem study so I don't see this breaking through normal use.

The strap works pretty well 99% of the time, however there is a design flaw with the strap. Any bending or especially twisting to the plastic just behind the connector to the headset will snap it with absolutely no force. You need to be careful even when just putting it down. I had to send one back to Amazon because it couldn't even survive shipping the first time... The plastic should be thicker, especially given the very high price tag for an average piece of plastic.

 The Quest elite strap is brilliant, a massive upgrade from the stock head strap in its adjustability and comfort.

Simply twist the circle on the rear to either tighten or loosen the headset/head strap. Then to secure the top of your head a simple elasticated Velcro strap.

Definitely needed if you want to have a comfort experience with your Quest.

I love the design of the strap, compared with the one that comes with the Quest 2. It worked great for a while.

Unfortunately, after a bit over three months and treating it carefully, avoiding adding too much pressure on it broke. I was not even using it when it happened. I just grabbed the headset to use it (always from the middle band), and it broke in my hand.

Was this a bad batch? A design flaw? A poor choice of material? Not enough testing in QA? A combination of all?

Maybe it was bad luck; who knows.

The idea behind the design is great, and I truly like it. I mean, if it wasn’t for that, it feels comfortable using. I never pushed it because I heard lots of stories like mine after I ordered.

I’ve been using the fabric strap that came with the Oculus, and I have to say it is surprisingly good, and even if it looks more durable than the “elite” version, although it doesn't fit as well as the "elite".

UPDATE:

I contacted Oculus Support, and they offered either a refund or a replacement. As I bought it through Amazon, the refund must be handled by Amazon; but as I like the strap design, I requested a replacement. They emailed me a UPS tag to return the broken strap (so make sure to keep it if you one to go this route and its original box). A few days after, I received confirmation that a new elite strap was sent at no cost, so I want to express thanks to Oculus Support for taking care of this problem.
