Though I was lucky enough to have gotten the first 3 books for free, over the course of 2 years, I did pay for the 4th book and not sorry in doing so.
Grammatically the book is correct. A few, 6 throughout the entire series, were missing a letter, mostly in the personal pronouns. Because the editing was so "spot on", I'm going to chalk them up to publishing thru Kindle editing.
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this series, and going to keep my eye on Ms. Madi's current and future work.
Also, to let you all know, I am generally not the target audience for these type of books. I am 54 yrs. old, and happen to enjoy "YA/PARANORMAL" books immensely!
Even with the so called "sex scenes", I would still classify this book as PG13 . I believe that they were done tastefully, without any overdone graphic explanation.
P.S. For the 2 persons who "panned" this book because of "blasphemy", I do agree that the 2 times it was used in only the last book shocked me a bit, ONLY because I didn't expect them, based on the first 3 books. There is nothing wrong, calling out to God, due to the 2 circumstances, they were used in. With TOTAL respect, I'd advise you to read books that are listed in the Catholic category from now on, or...step into the 22nd Century! This book was the Bible of A GAZILLION books on the market today. The book was listed under "YA/PARANORMAL/ROMANCE. What did you expect? Hand holding from another State?
Enjoy your read!!!!! I certainly did! 👱 🔰
Ruby was still as child-like as she has been for the duration of this series. She whined and cried about every little thing. She constantly was yelling at Eli for cheating on her, when the man did no such thing! Seriously, he's about the only person who could take that girl seriously and all she was doing half the time was yelling at him! How ungrateful. Honestly I think Eli could've done much better than her. Ruby saw little change throughout this book. She was constantly either picking fights or running scared from, and crying over, them. I mean really, what happened to the kick-butt girl who could fry a legion of vampires without a thought? Such a bitter disappointment.
I was not at all impressed with this final edition to the Guardian Angel series. I'd had higher hopes. However, the whole book was rather dull. There were minimal actual action scenes, and the fights were mainly between the main "team." The group of 'friends' from Sage Sanctum showed more conflict between them in this book than the vampires provided for them. Again I say, what a huge disappointment.
Thank The Lord this series is over. I honestly could not stand one more moment of Ruby's childish behavior.
I would not recommend this to anyone who feels that, once they start something, they need to see it through to the end. This series is four book long and I regretted reading every one of them.
