Dr Fung makes his points succinctly and with well reasoned support. At the end of reading this book I wept a little because I have spent my entire life following the eat less move more diet without success. I have felt like a failure my entire life because I was unable to lose weight and keep it off following such a simple edict. I have started doing intermittentfasting and so far am losing weight, see how I go in six months and this book could be defined as life changing.
This book (and Dr Fung's subsequent articles on intermittentfasting) has been an absolute revelation for me. I too have been totally focused on calories in, calories out and never fully understood the effect different foods and food timing has had on my weight. An absolute must read for anyone looking at weight control or working with clients who are looking for weight loss. Intermittentfasting has been an amazing eating manipulation method for me personally. I have lost more weight in the past 6-months using this method than in the last 6-years of training in the gym 5-days per week.
