The only thing that really made me sad was that Dan got the short end of the stick. I know that Lucy needs someone to challenge her, but what about Dan?? His presence in almost all of the Bullet Catcher books has made him so irresistible and I am saddened that he didn't get what I think many of us feel he deserved. I just hope Ms. St. Claire does him justice in the next book because he is definitely my favorite Bullet Catcher - and I wouldn't mind hearing about his good friend Max and how his family is doing either.
In this one Jack looks for Lucy's help. You have to read First You Run, Then you Hide, then this one. It's a trilogy.
You will not be sorry. See Jack used to be a Bullet Catcher Lucy fired him so went out on his own and is now a PI...he is helping a women find her daughter's and prove she is innocent for a murder....at first Lucy wants nothing to do with Jack but does help him and find some very interesting facts about who fathered these women's girls. Jack is helping to prove did not commit the murder. See each girl has something special to identify them.
Read the others..In this on Lucy and Jack get very close. It gets pretty emotional towards the end of the book. Lots of emotions between Jack and Lucy are shared.
