Jack has moved from Sussex Police to GMP following the death of his wife- suicide. He’s taken to drink- alcoholicly- and whilst off work sick, becomes obsessed with another woman who closely resembles his late wife. In his drunken stupors, Jack stalks the woman.
AND then....... the plot is totally unbelievable and extremely silly. Jack goes back to work to investigate a serial murderer. At times he’s lurching about paralytic drunk and the next moment driving a car and is Action Man- as if. The author over complicated the plot and I think he lost it at the same time. The police are idiots who couldn’t detect a pebble on a Sussex beach.
If this is how police behave, then help us all. Won’t be reading anymore by this author.
